@MFScannell@CatholicRob Some don’t know they have to eat it. Once I followed a lady who said she “wanted to hold it awhile.” I should not judge but I also reminded her it needs to be consumed asap. My local parish also found 3 hosts in pews after the Spanish mass. Probably ex Catholics turned Prot
@BreeSolstad Tell the layity to stop coming up for blessings. I’ve had to assist as an EMOHC & I simply say “God bless” when the blessing folk arrive.
@OrdinariateUSA Leo should not be a reason why one leaves or joins. He’s the top administrator for those who work to save souls through Gods word and sacraments. If one puts these aforementioned things first, the Catholic Church shows it is the real church to be in. It’s not just a movement
@VincentDJohnson I remember flying from Plainfield to Harlem Ave on i55 because development on that corridor was light. Now it’s a parking lot; took 2 hours to drive from Joliet to North Center recently
@TheWapplehouse I knew late Gen X/early millennials like this back then & I was really annoyed at how they smelled bad all the time and bragging about never wanting children.
@bigfoofheart Some shit dads hit their kids, abandon them, or hurt their feelings. This is a new level of abuse. Millennial tech bros need to be drafted into the military for awhile
@SMB_Attorney Most of the Chicago & near-suburban area is carpeted with modest, cheap homes, but in lackluster neighborhoods. If you’re lucky, one might have a Metra line & maybe a station too. But schools are mediocre & the churches are dying.
@BlockClubCHI Tell that to the owners of the now-closed Ace Hardware on Milwaukee Ave in Logan. All the handymen who fix condos in the neighborhood had nowhere to park their work trucks. Now it’s another empty storefront.
