After I lost my son to mental illness I spent two years in therapy. My therapist tried hard to help me process my grief. He showed compassion but also engaged my mind. He listened but he also spoke. I was given articles to read about how the despair of mental illness drove my son to self-death. I learnt that my son did not murder himself and that the word suicide stigmatises mental illness. When I cried he handed me a tissue from a box next to him. In one session I told him quite angrily that parents can't forgive themselves when their children die in such circumstances. He looked at me with sorrow and accepted what I said. But proposed that I accept the part that can't forgive myself and find the part that can. It was the perfect therapeutic moment and I live with both parts now.

Elon Musk is a dangerous race baiter who must be held to account for his actions.

I can't think what it is that upsets him so much about a Brown, Muslim, progressive politician? 🤔 But his billions won't stop me calling out his support for the far-right.

The Somerset levels which is the red bit near Bristol are on average 4 meters above sea level - global sea levels are rising on average (massive variance) by 3.7 mm per year - so they should be underwater in about 1081 years - give or take a decade or two
