Thankful to have time today to work on a passion project: a war game for Latin II’s Military Unit! Students will be divided into Pompey’s Republican Army and Caesar’s Rebels.
In order to unlock bonuses in game, students have to research historical Roman military advancements!
Latin I has been learning about Roman houses, and tomorrow they’ll be making their own. We’ll be saving them for next week and adding in sentences once they learn some action words. Pater laborat in tablino!
Next one to make: BYO Roman military camp for Latin II
@quizizz Hi, are we unable to upload our own backgrounds in Lessons now? I can add an image to the slide but I can’t see “Upload” in the Theme tab, just preset themes. Thanks!
Activity: Think Sim City but Rome.
Build your own town (copying and pasting elements into a Google slides) and ~of course~ we’ll be writing Latin sentences describing your city (and what happens inside these buildings)
🎉 What Is...
Our first new game mode of the school year!
We're bringing in Jeopardy-style gameplay...but with a very *powerful* twist.
Gather your students to compete when 'What Is...' releases on September 29th!
Latin III will have a little more grammar this year. Inspired by @nintendoamerica Game Builder Garage’s Nodons, I’m making characters for each grammatical noun case. Each one has a personality. Can’t wait to draw Verb and Adjective #Procreate

@quizlet Where is the old music during games? You guys updated and now there doesn't seem to be the awesome music that used to play during rounds? My students are disappointed :(
