Cricket fanatic...any and ALL cricket! Mumbaikar to the core! Bollywood 'enthusiast'.....erstwhile Mid-Day regular :) खाओ वडा पाव-भजीया, बोलो गणपति बाप्पा मोरया
@Oam_16 IMO, Abhishek and Ishan are the 2 “certainties” who have been in form in the recent past. For 2 of the remaining 4 games (perhaps the last 2, if India win games 2 & 3), rest them both for a game each and play Vaibhav. Give Sanju & Tilak all 5 games before taking a call on them.
I think this is probably the fairest way. Though personally I would rest each of Abhishek and Kishan (since they are pretty much certainties based on recent form) for a game each and give Vaibhav those 2 games. Perhaps if India can manage to win the 2nd and 3rd games.
Ill give Sanju and Tilak this series - this would mean 7 games. Probably start of Asian Games, look at Vaibhav and Shedge as options. Dravid mgmt gave around 10 games run. 7-8 games I feel is good gauge to see if TM needs to move on.
Mgmt is right by not dropping Sanju for now. I would have played Sanju at 3, Kishan at 5. Opened with Vaibhav but its fine if they want to see if Tilak can swim too. This mgmt is good in T20Is - pretty consistent and methodical - Shedge was given debut as they needed 5/6th bowler option. Prince as 3rd seamer.
Had there been half this much brown in the outfield at an Indian ground or stadium, the knives would have been well and truly out! But if it’s at an English ground, it must be the weather or something else.
Indian womens cricket team in the T20 format are just not ready to accept that they play a defensive brand of cricket.
They have been knocked out from the group stages in back to back t20 Worlducp and here we are going into the new cycle with the same squad again.
This would have been right opportunity to get Anushka Sharma and Vaishnavi Sharma in the mix and play them these tournaments
We don't have any young players in the pipeline
You need to evolve your thinking and mindset.
I don't really understand what's the use of backing the same set of players who might not even fit in the T20 format.
Had it not been for Tilak and his “masterclass 120 SR”, India would probably have been staring at a sub-100 total. What did the captain do with his 143 SR in this game?
Lol, this is what happens when you delay the inevitable. Benching a player who can change the landscape of Indian cricket further, it will only hurt the team. Tilak additionally with a masterclass 120SR showed us how important he is for saving Test cricket
@AnshulJ24@poserarcher If only he had the ability to think rationally. But spewing hate on anything and anyone related to Mumbai or Mumbai Indians gets him the engagement, so why not do it instead of wasting time on “thinking”? 😂
@AsmiGupta25@poserarcher Engagement for sure. Blowing stuff out of proportion is this person’s MO. And a hate for everything and everyone that is connected in some way or another to Mumbai or Mumbai Indians. You’ll see it’s a common theme on this account.
So after all..it was not just "Easy wins from a team Rohit Sharma built"
😊
History will be kinder to you, Surya. The captain that never quite got the credit he deserved..the orchestrator of the greatest Indian T20 juggernaut.
A team culture that will never be seen again.
Idiots like this guy get up in the morning and go “let’s bash Tilak Varma again today, for no reason”. Criticism of Tilak Varma is now getting laughable. Perhaps he should have just taken a look at the scores of the rest of the top 7!
The most useless, most entitled, most privileged batter in Team India.
Ladies & Gentleman
Tilak " Mumbai Indians " Verma .
As I said so many times . He doesn't even deserve a place in second XI.
And he is made Vice captain here .

One could understand the ball hitting the stumps could be umpire’s call since it’s a predictive path and not actual. But I’ve never understood why and how impact on the pad can be umpire’s call when it is an actual event, not a prediction. Ball pitching and impact cannot have UC.
Look, just remove Umpire's Call from the review process, please. If it brushes the stumps it should be out or not out (based on the rule of law), irrespective of what the umpire's on-field decision was.
