In my opinion, the key here is to understand why we brake or accelerate when supervising FSD. If you press the accelerator, you are ordering FSD to continue driving (FSD undecided), drive faster or brake but you pressed the accelerator by mistake. All responsibility is always yours, but FSD is usually safer than driving us and should be able to estimate under each situation if it needs to disconnect or adapt to your commands. The brake pedal is the shortcut to easily disengage when you do not agree or do not feel safe or feel that there is a safety problem and you need to take full control. It’s a smart and brilliant feature.
