A momentous milestone for the infrastructure and regional connectivity of West Bengal.
Today, at Nabanna Sabhaghar, a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Transport Department (Government of West Bengal), the Ministry of Civil Aviation (Government of India), and the Airports Authority of India (AAI) under the UDAN scheme to develop new airports and civil enclaves across the state.
We were privileged to have Hon'ble Union Minister of Civil Aviation Shri Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu Ji, Cabinet Colleagues and Senior Officials join us for this landmark event.

A robust Civil Aviation network does far more than shorten travel times; it serves as a powerful catalyst for trade, tourism, logistics and employment generation. These initiatives represent the vital foundational work essential for unlocking the ultimate economic growth and self-reliance of West Bengal. By investing systematically in modern infrastructure today, we are paving the runway for long-term prosperity, inclusive regional development and boundless opportunities for every Citizen across our State.

আসন্ন এই পবিত্র পরবের প্রাক্কালে আজ পুরুলিয়ার টামনা স্থিত ঐতিহাসিক "করম আখড়ায়" কুড়মি সমাজের আয়োজিত এক বিশাল করম মহা-সমাবেশ ও সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত থাকার সৌভাগ্য হলো। সেখানে উপস্থিত অগণিত মানুষের স্বতঃস্ফূর্ত অংশগ্রহণ এবং জনসমুদ্র দেখে আমি অভিভূত।
জঙ্গলমহলের মূলবাসী সমাজের সংস্কৃতি, ঐতিহ্য এবং জীবনধারার সঙ্গে এই করম উৎসব ওতপ্রোতভাবে জড়িয়ে আছে। এটি কেবল একটি পরব নয়, এটি প্রকৃতি পূজার এক মহান ঐতিহ্য। কৃষি ও প্রকৃতির সমৃদ্ধির জন্য প্রার্থনা করার এই প্রাচীন প্রথা আমাদের মনে করিয়ে দেয় যে মানুষ ও প্রকৃতি একে অপরের পরিপূরক।

I joined the Hon’ble Home Minister in Siliguri at the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) program to review security readiness and to commend the dedication of our brave personnel guarding the Nation's frontiers. The commitment of our Forces remains the foundation of our Nation's safety and peace.
Later on we addressed a vibrant and massive gathering at the Public Rally. The overwhelming support and enthusiasm of the People reflect a shared dedication to transparent governance, rapid development and positive change across every corner of West Bengal.
I also had the opportunity to hold comprehensive discussions focusing on internal security, law & order and accelerated implementation of Central developmental initiatives to uplift all sections of society in West Bengal.

Kudos to the West Bengal Police for a Major Breakthrough.
On precise intelligence inputs, the Special Task Force (STF) conducted extensive raids across multiple locations near Sarberia Bazaar in Kumrakhali, Basanti, and Sandeshkhali areas.
Forces have successfully seized a massive cache of illegal firearms and ammunition hidden away to disrupt peace.
I highly appreciate the prompt actions and exemplary coordination of the DGP; West Bengal Police, the STF Team and Basirhat Police District Personnel for this successful operation.

For years under the previous regime, such illegal weapons were stockpiled and used ruthlessly to terrorize common citizens. This culture of violence claimed the precious lives of numerous opposition party workers, particularly dedicated BJP Karyakartas, who stood up against tyranny.
Those dark days are over. Our Government remains unconditionally committed to restoring Law and Order. We will continue to track down, unearth, and recover every single piece of illegal firearm across the length and breadth of West Bengal. Criminal activities and Political Terrorism will be completely wiped out from our State.
Peace, safety and Democracy will prevail.

An eventful first day at Nabanna as the Chief Minister of West Bengal.
Today, we transformed promises into action. Chaired the first Cabinet Meeting and took 6 landmark decisions to reclaim the glory of our State:-
1) Ayushman Bharat: Finally, the people of West Bengal will receive the benefits of the Hon'ble PM’s flagship health care scheme.
2) Securing Borders: Ensured the immediate transfer of land to the BSF for Border Fencing, which is to be completed within 45 days.
3) Empowering Youth: As promised in the Manifesto, increased the age limit for State Government job seekers by 5 years to support those who lost precious time during the previous regime.
4) Re-established the Constitutional Modalities: Officially implemented the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and gave the green light for the Census to ensure proper representation.
5) Justice for Martyrs: Taken steps for the fulfillment of commitment towards the well-being of the 321 families who lost their loved ones while standing for democracy in West Bengal.
6) Removing obstruction for the implementation of Central Government Schemes - Paving way for smooth implementation of Central Government Schemes like PM Vishwakarma, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, PM Ujjwala 3 etc...
From allocating portfolios to my esteemed colleagues Shri @DilipGhoshBJP, Smt. @paulagnimitra1, Shri @NisithPramanik, Shri Ashok Kirtania, Shri Khudiram Tudu to meeting with top Bureaucrats and Administrative Officials, the message is clear - this is a Government "Of the People, By the People, For the People," not For the Party, unlike how the previous Govt operated.

I am shocked and deeply concerned by the sudden news of the resignation of Shri C. V. Ananda Bose, the Governor of West Bengal.

The reasons behind his resignation are not known to me at this moment. However, given the prevailing circumstances, I would not be surprised if the Governor has been subjected to some pressure from the Union Home Minister to serve certain political interests on the eve of the forthcoming State Assembly elections.

Union Home Minister just informed me that Shri R.N. Ravi is being appointed as Governor of West Bengal. He never consulted with me as per the established convention in this regard.

Such actions undermine the spirit of the Constitution of India and strike at the very foundation of our federal structure. The Centre must respect the principles of cooperative federalism and refrain from taking unilateral decisions that erode democratic conventions and the dignity of States.

রবীন্দ্রনাথ - নজরুল - সুকান্ত - জীবনানন্দের বাংলা শুধু নয়, আমরা সব ভাষাকেই সম্মান করি। এটা আমার গর্ব যে, আমাদের সময়ে হিন্দি, সাঁওতালি, কুরুখ, কুড়মালি, নেপালি, উর্দু, রাজবংশী, কামতাপুরী, পাঞ্জাবি, তেলুগু ভাষাকে আমরা সরকারি ভাষা হিসাবে স্বীকৃতি দিয়েছি। সাদরি ভাষার মানোন্নয়নেও আমরা সচেষ্ট হয়েছি। হিন্দি আকাদেমি, রাজবংশী ভাষা আকাদেমি, কামতাপুরী ভাষা আকাদেমি, সাঁওতালি আকাদেমি – সব করা হয়েছে। এটাও সুনিশ্চিত করেছি যে, রাজ্যের প্রত্যেক ভাষা-ভাষী মানুষ তাদের মাতৃভাষায় পড়াশোনা করার সুযোগ পায়।

একুশের এই পুণ্য দিনে আরও একবার অঙ্গীকার করছি — যে-কোনো ভাষার ওপর যদি আক্রমণ আসে – আমরা সবাই মিলে তার বিরুদ্ধে রুখে দাঁড়াবো। সকল ভাষা সমান ভাবে সম্মাননীয়।

The EC has stated that the voter lists across various states on the basis of which the GENERAL ELECTIONS were held barely a year ago in 2024 are FAULTY and riddled with IRREGULARITIES.

If that is indeed the case, and if the GoI agrees with the EC’s assessment, then the first step towards conducting a genuine SIR and STANDING ON MORAL HIGH GROUND is the
IMMEDIATE DISSOLUTION OF LOK SABHA. If one truly supports the idea of SIR, then as per the EC’s own statement - THE PEOPLE OF THIS COUNTRY HAVE BEEN BETRAYED.

Also, If the new CEC is truly as competent as claimed, then the SIR should be implemented across the country, not selectively in poll-bound states.

Today, as I walked alongside thousands in the Bhasha Andolan rally in Jhargram, I was reminded once again that Bengal has always stood tall as the cradle of India’s intellectual, cultural, and spiritual resurgence. From leading the national freedom movement to shaping the Indian Renaissance, Bengal has never faltered in the face of adversity. This is the land of Kobiguru Rabindranath Tagore, Kazi Nazrul Islam, Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, Swami Vivekananda, and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, a land that celebrates diversity, knowledge, and human dignity.

Yet today, the Bangla-birodhi Zamindars of BJP are attempting to erase our identity, insult our language, and wage a war on Bengalis across the country. In their ignorance and arrogance, they have dared to label Bangla as "Bangladeshi." Legitimate Indian citizens from Bengal are being subjected to inhumane treatment in BJP-ruled states, detained, harassed, even deported, simply for speaking Bangla with pride. NRC notices are being indiscriminately served to Bengalis, and through Special Intensive Revision, they are attempting to disenfranchise lakhs of genuine voters.

We will never allow the constitutional rights of our people to be trampled upon. We will never allow the soil, soul, or speech of Bengal to be disrespected. History bears witness that Bengal has always risen in resistance against tyrants. And I stand with my people as their watchful guardian ready to go to any length to protect their dignity, their rights, and their future. Bengal will never bow. Bengal will never break.
