Been in awe of Imran Khan ever since I met him but what this particular speech at UNGA did to multiply the admiration can’t be described in words.

He batted for the whole Muslim Ummah with a speech straight from his heart; he spoke what I wanted to speak without knowing how to say it and same were the sentiments of many Muslims of the West!

ہمیں مل کر مغرب کو یہ عقیدہ بتانا چاہیے کہ ہمارے دلوں میں نبی ﷺ کے لیے کتنا پیار ہے۔ مسلمان ممالک کے سربراہوں کو چاہیے کہ وہ مغرب کو بتائیں کہ ہمارے لیے اللہ کی کتاب قرآن اور نبی ﷺ کا پیار سب سے بڑھ کر ہے۔ ہمارے دلوں میں ہمارا نبی ﷺ بستا ہے۔

-مغرب میں بڑھتے اسلاموفوبیا کے بارے میں جب تک عالم اسلام کے سربراہ مل کر آگاہی نہیں دیں گے، تب تک انہیں ہمارے نبی ﷺ سے رشتے کے بارے میں ضرور بتانا چاہیے۔ نبی ﷺ ہمارے دلوں میں رہتے ہیں۔

-یورپی یونین کے ہیومن رائٹس کورٹ نے پہلی بار کہا کہ فریڈم آف سپیچ کی آڑ میں کسی کے دین کو تکلیف نہیں پہنچائی جا سکتی۔

-جس طرح وہ اپنی اقدار اور حساس معاملات کے بارے میں دنیا سے احترام کی توقع رکھتے ہیں، اسی طرح ہمیں بھی یہ حق حاصل ہے کہ ہمارے ایمان اور ہمارے نبی ﷺ کی شان کا احترام کیا جائے۔

تمام مسلم ممالک کے سربراہوں کو چاہیے کہ وہ متحد ہو کر دنیا کو یہ پیغام دیں کہ نبی کریم ﷺ کی حرمت اور ناموس ہمارے ایمان کا سب سے اہم حصہ ہے۔ اگر کوئی اس مقدس ہستی کی توہین کرتا ہے تو وہ صرف ایک فرد یا مذہب کے ماننے والوں کے جذبات کو نہیں بلکہ پوری امت مسلمہ کے دلوں کو مجروح کرتا ہے۔

Imran Khan has always placed state responsibility above personal or party interests. In these sensitive circumstances, with the region engulfed in escalating conflict, his position has remained clear, balanced, and grounded in the national interest. He has consistently prioritised diplomatic engagement and conveyed an unequivocal message: Pakistan is ready to play its role for peace, but it cannot become part of another war.

Today, Pakistan needs that same foresight, courage, and balanced judgment. The world expects a responsible, peace-loving Pakistan, and Pakistan needs leadership that carries the trust of its people. Imran Khan must be released immediately, because only a leader with a public mandate can make the right and courageous decisions in difficult times. That is the national interest, and that is the need of the hour.

It is critical and urgent that Imran Khan be examined and treated at a proper medical facility. Our recommendations to CJP clearly demanded that he be examined and treated at Shifa International Hospital (Islamabad) by specialist doctors, under the supervision of his personal physicians and in the presence of his family members. It is extremely unfortunate that Chief Justice Yahya Afridi expressed satisfaction with the doctors’ visit to Adiala Jail and completely disregarded the family’s lawful and legitimate demands.

What are they hiding?

The extraordinary effort by the government and establishment to prevent Imran Khan from being properly examined, tested, and treated in a reputable tertiary care hospital, under the supervision of his own doctors and in the presence of his family, raises serious questions. Government ministers have falsely claimed that his treatment was delayed because the family insisted on their presence along with his personal doctors. This was not a delaying tactic; it was a necessary safeguard to ensure transparency, proper care, and his safety. The additional doctor who accompanied the PIMS doctor to Adiala Jail was sent ONLY for examination, not treatment. What kind of comprehensive examinations can be conducted inside a jail facility, which lacks the equipment, environment, and safeguards of a proper hospital?

The PIMS doctors, along with a specialist from Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital, were sent to Adiala Jail on Monday, 16th February, to show compliance with the deadline set by Chief Justice Yahya Afridi. However, on Tuesday, 17th February, Imran Khan conveyed a message through Bushra Bibi via her daughter, clearly stating that he was NOT satisfied with the doctors’ visit or the treatment being provided, and he specifically asked that his blood tests should be conducted in the presence of his personal doctors, Dr. Asim and Dr. Faisal. We REJECT any medical reports drawn up as a result of examinations conducted in the absence of Imran Khan’s personal physicians and family member. URGENCY IS OF THE UTMOST IMPORTANCE.
