This man is a hero.

Captain Smit Machchhar, the Indian captain of flydubai Flight 1073, fought back after being stabbed in the cockpit.

Despite being severely injured, he managed to unlock the cockpit door - allowing Israeli passengers and the Emirati crew to intervene and save all the passengers.

Together, their extraordinary courage saved 174 lives.

Indian. Israeli. Emirati.

Different nationalities. One extraordinary act of courage. 🇮🇳🇮🇱🇦🇪

We wish Captain Machchhar a full and speedy recovery.

[Benjamin Netanyahu - בנימין נתניהו @netanyahu]

My salute to the Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar for his extraordinary bravery.

Despite being stabbed and seriously injured, he fought back, resisted, opened the cockpit door, and enabled passengers and crew to overpower the attacker — preventing a catastrophic mid-air disaster.

He saved the lives of 174 people, including Israeli citizens and other nationals.

I wish Captain Machchhar a speedy and full recovery.

He is a true hero.

🙏 MY HEARTFELT & URGENT APPEAL TO THE GOVERNMENT OF ANDHRA PRADESH 🙏

My name is Bharat, and I am currently in the USA, where I have been battling advanced Cancer- Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) for the last 4 years.

My doctors have told me that my condition is very critical and that I may not have much time left. At this stage of my life, I have just one heartfelt wish. I want to come back to my motherland, Andhra Pradesh, and spend the time I have left with my family and loved ones.

I want to see my family, be with them, and return home one last time. This wish is giving me the strength to keep fighting.

Because of my medical condition, I cannot safely travel on a regular commercial flight and urgently need medical air transportation/air ambulance assistance to travel from the USA to India.

Honble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh @ncbn , Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh @PawanKalyan and the Government of Andhra Pradesh @AndhraPradeshCM @apnrtsofficial , and the Government of India I humbly request you to please help me come home.

I am not asking for anything more than the chance to be with my family in my motherland during the time I have left.

Please help me fulfill this final wish. Your timely support could mean everything to me and my family. 🙏❤️

Please share this appeal widely and help it reach the concerned authorities.

🇮🇳 Seven attempts. One dream. One uniform.

Most people give up after a few failures.

Lt. Pritam Singh Bagediya refused to. 💪🫡

Hailing from Jalore, Rajasthan, Pritam had only one dream—to wear the Indian Army uniform and serve the nation.

It wasn't an easy journey.

After passing Class 10 in 2018, he moved to Jaipur to continue his studies, carrying with him an unwavering determination to become an Army officer. 📚🇮🇳

He appeared for the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Combined Defence Services (CDS) examinations multiple times.

❌ The first few attempts ended in disappointment.

On his fourth attempt, he cleared the written examination—but couldn't make it through the SSB interview.

For many, that would have been the end.

For Pritam, it became another reason to work harder.

With the unwavering support of his father, Mahendra Singh, and his family, he stayed disciplined, patient, and focused on his goal. ❤️

Then came his seventh attempt...

✨ The one that changed his life forever.

🏅 He secured All India Rank 41 in the UPSC Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination and was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the Indian Army.

According to reports, he also became the first person from Jalore city to become an Army officer. 🇮🇳👏

His journey didn't end there.

Over the next 18 months, he underwent rigorous training at the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, where his exceptional performance earned appreciation from President Droupadi Murmu and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. 🎖️

✨ Lt. Pritam Singh Bagediya's story is a powerful reminder that success doesn't always come quickly—but it does come to those who refuse to quit.

Sometimes, the only difference between failure and success is one more attempt.

💙 Salute to his perseverance, dedication, and commitment to serving the nation.

Jai Hind! 🇮🇳🫡

He took a Rs 28K operations job.
Friends pitied him.

But UPSC had taught him:

discipline

stamina

Three years later:
Policy consulting role.

Actually respected at work.

Recruitment agencies that hire candidates through the Pratibha Setu Portal—particularly those who could not clear the final stage of the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE)—should ideally follow age criteria similar to that of UPSC.

In many recruitment notifications issued through the Pratibha Setu Portal, the upper age limit is often fixed at 30 years for the General category, with 5 years of relaxation for reserved categories.

However, in reality, many aspirants appear for the UPSC CSE interview stage at the age of 31 or 32, and the same situation applies to candidates from reserved categories as well.

Because of this mismatch, several capable candidates who have already reached the UPSC interview stage become ineligible for opportunities offered through the Pratibha Setu Portal due to the restrictive age criteria.

Therefore, recruitment agencies should align their age eligibility criteria with that of UPSC CSE. Doing so will ensure that these deserving candidates can also benefit from the opportunities provided through the Pratibha Setu initiative.

#WATCH | Panchkula: On his son Akansh Dhull securing third rank in UPSC civil services final result 2025, Haryana BJP leader Krishan Dhull says, "I can't even describe his achievement in words. The hard work, the concentration has put in over the past eight years, is commendable. He has proven that if a child consistently sets a goal and works hard, success is certain...His mother, my wife, who is sitting with me, played the biggest role in bringing him to this point. Whenever he needed her, she stood by him..."

Hyderabad is a city where you can travel from one era to another without a time machine.

Cyberabad area lives in 21st century.

Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills mix of 90s, 2000s eras.

Malkajgiri, LB Nagar, Uppal areas still in 2000s.

Hussain Sagar, Tank Bund, Necklace Road is very much 2000s.

Wanna experience 90s and early 2000s try Secunderabad, Begumpet, Ameerpet, Punjagutta.

Want to see how life was like in the 80s try Narayana Guda, Chikadpally, Musheerabad, RTC X Roads region.

Abids, Koti, Nampally are still in the 70s, 80s.

And then you have the Old City that is somewhere in the 40s or 50s, timeless.
