Zobaidul Amin, a Bangladeshi national, had been living in Malaysia, where he was studying at a medical college.

He was running a large international online child exploitation and sextortion network. He targeted 100s of minors worldwide, some as young as 11 years old.

He created dozens of Instagram and Snapchat accounts to trap girls and minors online. Malaysia has extradited him to the US to face charges. He faces 13 federal charges.

A Blast Happened in Delhi

Doctors are among the least likely professionals to turn to terrorism, but the indoctrination is so strong that it has breached even this group. Examples from India:

Aug 2020: Dr Abdur Rahman, ophthalmologist, arrested in Bengaluru for links with ISKP.

July 2023: Dr Adnan Ali, an anesthetist from Pune, arrested for links with ISIS.

Aug 2024: Ishtiaq Ahmed, formerly working in the radiology department of a hospital in Ranchi, arrested for links with Al-Qaeda.

Nov 2025: Dr Adil Ahmed Rather, a medical specialist, arrested for JeM links and possession of an assault rifle.

Dr Muzzamil Shakeel, an anesthetist, arrested with 2,900 kg worth of IED-making material and weapons.

Dr Shaheen, arrested for involvement in terror networks; an assault rifle was recovered from her car.

Dr Ahmed Mohiuddin Syed, MBBS (China), arrested with weapons and ricin extraction material; was allegedly planning a mass poisoning.

Dr Mohammad Umar, suspected fidayeen involved in the Red Fort terror attack.

The Hyundai i20 that exploded was originally owned by Md. Salman but was sold to Nadeem, who then sold it to a used car dealer, Royal Car Zone, Faridabad. It was later bought by Tariq.

Tariq was living in Faridabad but was originally from Pulwama. Dr. Muzzamil Shakeel, from whom 2900 kg of IED-making material was seized, was also living in Faridabad and is also a native of Pulwama.

All of this appears to be linked. It looks like Tariq panicked after Dr. Muzzamil was arrested and carried out the Red Fort attack, possibly as a fidayeen act.

Ashhar Danish, a student who was preparing for the SSC exam in Ranchi's Islamnagar area, was arrested after the police and ATS discovered that he was actually making bombs for ISIS.

Gunpowder, bombs and potassium nitrate were recovered from his room.

Only exam he cleared was the ISIS entrance.
