The real winners of every election aren’t even the party that wins. It’s politicians as a class. They all eat. You just pick which one gets the bigger plate.
Tribal politics will keep working until the people make it expensive. And right now? It’s still the cheapest investment in the game.
A politician in today’s clime doesn’t need a plan. He just needs your group to feel threatened by another group. He becomes the symbol of your survival, not a servant of your interests. You vote for him not because he’s good but because the other guy is “them.” It’s so easy for them and you all keep falling every time repeating the cycle.
In June, we commence training for two widows and we are proud to say that our Ashake Foundation for widows children by widows school bag is here.
We are excited that we are empowering widows so that they can provide for their family
#empowernotpity
According to unites nations, we need to empower widows through access to adequate healthcare, education for their children, decent work, lives free of violence and abuse; which would enable them build a secure life after bereavement. #EmpowerNotPity#InternationalWidowsDay
8.Widows have been too long invisible, uncounted and ignored. We all (inclusive of the government) need to take action to support in whatever way we can. It could be through donating or policy making. The rights of widows need to be ensured. #empowernotpity
As we celebrate the #WidowsDay2018 , we need to change the narrative.
Let's move beyond pity to empowerment.
Let's move beyond free gifts to self sufficiency and sustainability for widows in #Nigeria#WidowsDay#empowernotpity
