In this stirring video, a mother asks how a regime that brutalised her during the January 2026 elections for simply holding the Ugandan flag can now claim the moral authority to forcefully send her S6-leaver child to Kyankwanzi for “patriotism” training!
Having come to the realization that citizens are now politically awake, the Museveni dictatorship is now trying to indoctrinate our unsuspecting children. WE MUST NOT ALLOW IT!
UAE has announced that it is easing precautionary entry measures introduced in June 2026 for nationals of the Republic of #Uganda in response to developments related to the #Ebola virus.

UAE's visa ban on Uganda isn't just choking exports at the point. It's grounding our entertainment industry too.
No visit visas + the 21‑day rule = cancelled gigs, stalled brand tours and lost income for artists, DJs and crews.
We need a clear, time‑bound roadmap to lift these restrictions now.
Dear Ndugu @adoniaayebare,
The United Arab Emirates is Uganda’s biggest trade partner. Bilateral trade reached 4.7 billion dollars in 2025.
Yet new visas for Ugandans have been frozen since 6 June. The World Health Organization declared Uganda Ebola-free on 27 August. Almost three weeks later, the freeze is still in place.
Prime Minister @RobinahNabbanja raised it in Dubai this week. Still no lift!
Honourable Minister Adonia Ayebare: I am following your rest-of-the-world trek, but kindly look into unlocking the Gulf quickly. A blocked door to our largest market is not a health footnote. It is a tax on investors, traders, workers and students.
I am optimistic that the Patriotic League of Uganda (@PLUsecretariat) will, with fierce urgency, treat visa-free travel accross the world as a national deliverable.
Ugandans still queue for visas to the markets that matter most: the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Kingdom, the United States, the European Union, China, India and South Africa.
A stronger passport is jobs, markets and dignity. Make visa-free access for Ugandans a priority—not a side issue.
Warmly,
M. Rwakakamba

Mwenda has lost all the credibility and respect he built over years in journalism, largely because of his anger, bitterness and hostility towards the QM.
That post, alleging that QM was the number one suspect in Kijanangoma’s death and that the President covered it up for her, must rank among the biggest own goals of his journalism career.
He deleted the post though but the internet remembers. Sadly, Mwenda barely practices journalism anymore🥺😭😭
Andrew,You never know!
Yes,You may have celebrated King Oyo's demise-as you rushed to call Desmond Kamurasi to come back to Uganda for the throne had become vacant.
You may have celebrated the immense emotional suffering that QM Best Kemigisa is going through.
You may have tried your best in doubling her pain & grief by accusing her of murder & forgery of her son's WILL & an attempt to have her grand nephew hoisted as a new King of Tooro Kingdom moreover on the day she has buried her son.
You may have confidently accused President @KagutaMuseveni of covering up the murderer [Kemigisa].
But You never know, this insensitive & uncalled for tweet can land you into big trouble!🙏🙏
For so many well meaning Ugandans who have been sympathizing with our former Queen Mother (QM), Best Kemigisa, here is more food for thought. This morning she refused the body of King Oyo to leave the palace. Government had to use the army to get the body to church.
As I post this tweet, she has refused to release the body for burial at the royal tombs. Under our customs, a king is supposed to be buried not later than 3pm. It is now almost 5pm and the mourners and all officials at the burial are stuck. The only way they can get the body of the king and bury it is for the state to send in the army and forcefully grab the body from her. The optics would be terrible.
For more than 30 years, Batooro have put up with the greed, intrigues and intransigence of this lady. For 30 years we have witnessed the desecration of our most sacred traditions. For 30 years we have seen kingdom land taken and sold by her and all the money pocketed by her. For 30 years batooro have sustained this vicious assault on our kingdom in silence because we are a peaceful people who avoid controversy and confrontation.
Best Kemigisa is pushing us over the edge. In 1998 she chased my grandmother, Kezia Byanjeru, 93 years (former queen mother), from the palace, used ruffians who lifted her forcefully and dumped her onto a pickup truck, broke her hip and she died two months later. Queen Kezia was the mother of King Patrick Olimi Kaboyo III and therefore mother in law to Best Kemigisa. We suffered this humiliation in suppressed silence.
In 1999, she ordered the cold blooded murder of Prince Kijanangoma, elder brother to the new king. The investigation found that she was the architect of this heinous crime. At the time, the state protected her from criminal prosecution because she was a queen mother rising a seven year old king. Sending her to jail for life or death would have harmed the kingdom. I fully supported this decision as well reasoned and wise. John Katuramu was prosecuted and sentenced to death for this crime to which he was only an accomplice, according to the investigation.
A few days ago, she tried to get her grand nephew and hoist him onto our throne contrary to established custom. She forged a will of the late Oyo. She has lied, intrigued, vilified and manipulated the kingdom. And we kept silent. We are kind, tolerant and patient but we are not stupid or cowards. There is a limit to how much we can tolerate. Kemigisa cannot continue with these machinations and get away with them. Not anymore! PERIOD!
Hello dear #Kenyans. Please be humble. Not all Kenyans work in banks or NGOs in East Africa. You also have people called Maasai. (Kenya, Tz) They sell sandals peacefully but illegally on roads throughout East Africa. Let’s not boast of anything let’s not be unAfrican. Let’s protect the weak. Value Ubuntu! These Maasai are not taking our jobs here, I am sure those poor Burundians selling mandazi are not taking your jobs either. Let them survive. Protect them, find ways to legalize them maybe but don’t chase or brutalize. Not even for electoral reasons.
Yours truly.

We have a whole tribe of Kenyan origin in Uganda occupying at least two parishes in Kiryandongo..the Maragoli..they are closer to DRC 150 km to DRC than the 400 km to Kenya..
Dear President Ruto, do you think before you speak? For example, we have about 30,000 Kenyans working in Uganda with only 287 of them officially registered. We have between 30,000 to 50,000 Kenyans in South Sudan with only 4.066 or so registered. Do you think about those Kenyans?
