It’s Phil Lester’s birthday today (30 January)🎉

The YouTube star, best known as one half of Dan and Phil, came out publicly as gay in his 2019 ‘Coming Out To You’ video, sharing the message: “It's also important to be proud and open with who you are and show people that it's okay to be gay. And that's who I am, and I'm not going to hide that anymore.”

In October 2025, Lester confirmed that he is in a relationship with his long-time collaborator and co-star Dan Howell, ending years of fan speculation about their relationship.

In that video, the duo revealed they’ve actually been together since 2009, after first meeting and collaborating online.
