@kaylassera it’s quite interesting, because it seems to be mutually beneficial. for disney, it can widen its reach by tapping into current trends. spotify, of course, gets even more attention for their already successful campaign
@danigratia so did i! it was really great talking to everyone and being connected — even if some people didn’t meet in person, they still connected online
@YiyiiiiYang as much as I had fun, I won’t be using Twitter going forward. it was definitely a great place for sharing thoughts for most of the course of the semester!
reflecting on the semester and thinking about how fun it’s been tweeting for this class. I’ve decided that I’ll probably move away from this platform in the future, but this account will be missed dearly! #coms325f22
@kaylassera @TwitterBlue I think that the app is going to largely be a political war zone, with lots of fake information going around. I guess we’ll see how good people are at assessing the validity of a news article. It’ll definitely be interesting to see how politicians and media use Twitter now.
the urge to analyze every single add that i get on instagram and figure out what interactions of mine led companies to figure out that i’ve been looking for leg warmers…and that they’re conveniently on sale on my fave online website is strong #coms325f22
I’m wondering if how I use Twitter is going to change in the coming months because of Elon Musk’s actions. I love what this platform WAS, but I’m not sure I can say the same about it now #coms325f22
@kaylassera right, and it’s even sadder that the people amplifying false claims are the people who have so much influence on society (elon musk + elected government officials)
personally feel like it’s time that we talk about the jake from state farm cardboard cutout in the window of the state farm by the whole foods on haight #coms325f22
look at this promo i got earlier…it’s funny considering we just talked about how brands are trying to push their way into BeReal (i don’t think it’ll happen) #coms325f22
@taryn_r_cunn oh FOR SURE. it’s funny how we just talked about micro/macro/mega influencers and the hierarchy of influencers depending on their popularity. we’ll start to see less niche influencers and more mainstream ones…it’s an interesting social phenomenon
@janelucretiag I heard about this — it’s really shocking and devastating. It makes me think how important safety measures are when holding big events fresh out of the pandemic phase. Hoping the families and those involved heal well.
I feel like asking these kinds of questions is a good way to get engagements (taps, comment views, etc.) on your tweets. Also, I read it like red. #coms325f22
I think that Jake from State Farm has to be the best branding of our entire generation. Never thought an insurance company would be so memorable. #coms325f22
