With the new school year about to begin, let’s remember that not every student went on a family vacation, visited an amusement park, explored nature or met new friends at a sleepover camp in the woods.
Some students summer highlights include having a roof over their head and just enough food to survive.
These students have been counting the days to return to school for safety, consistency, support, friendship, nutrition, and hope for the future!
Thank you for everything you do for our students!

When building trades/technology teacher Trevor Maiseroulle moved to Parsons High School full time, rather than splitting his time with Parsons Middle School, the addition of a year-long class was discussed. https://t.co/MNFAtemKjR
@1989dragon74 But, I wouldn’t have gone into this if it weren’t for the tech classes I was exposed to throughout my schooling! Looking back, I was fortunate for the experiences I had. So many schools are closing their shop/tech classes. We need the students, but we need the teachers as well!
@1989dragon74 My favorite success stories are students of mine who went off to work in the trades simply because of my classes. These students spent pennies on the dollar for their training, and make two to three times as much as me! #supportshopclasses

It’s great to be back into the swing of things at school. Week #2 and students in the High School woodworking and carpentry classes are doing their measurement tasks. Woodworking students also learned how to use calipers #GoVikings

My thoughts on preserving current postsecondary Technology Teacher Education programs; 1.) Secure funding through the passing of acts (H.R. 4371) to fund recruitment efforts and 2.) Passing legislature to establish scholarship funds for current students in said programs. #TechEd
