Firstly, they are not authorised to wear the uniforms having been chucked out from the Army.

Chandu Chavan is a man from the Armd Corps and was seconded to an RR Battalion on LoC in Poonch Rajauri

He went on to the other side as a mark of protest against his JCO - He thought he was being ill treated and Chandu believed in the Bollywood Injected goodness of our brothers we lost and separated from in 1947.

Unfortunately, neither Modi nor 15 Corps Cdr consulted him and launched the surgical strikes on the same night as he crossed over as a mark of protest.

Pakis thought he had come for Surgical Strikes (same night), hence they declared him to the world (otherwise, most likely he would have met some other fate).

To Chandu's surprise, Pakis didn't support his protest and physically harmed him no end for days on the same post, and then injected with Truth Serum for over a month

From September to Jan-Feb, he remained in captivity and became the first activist who raised issues on both sides of LC, definitely a first !

Chandu was returned through the same routes as Abhinandan Vartman, obviously under Govt pressure!

He was despatched from Amritsar and att to HQ 13 Sector RR to face a court martial and resultant throwing out of Army.

Today, like his political affiliates, he is conjuring up lies.

What started as an “interview” quickly turned into a live fact-checking session for Norwegian journalist Helle Lyng. She arrived armed with the usual toolkit, “Free Press”, “Human Rights”, and a suitcase full of assumptions, only to admit she neither visited India properly nor studied the subject seriously. That’s like reviewing biryani after smelling plain rice from outside the restaurant.

Gaurie Dwivedi, meanwhile, didn’t just answer the questions, she politely bulldozed the very foundation of them. Calm, sharp, and unapologetically articulate, she exposed how selective outrage and recycled narratives are often packaged as “global concern” whenever India refuses to fit into Western stereotypes.

The funniest part? The loud accusations collapsed faster than an opposition alliance after election results. What was supposed to be an attack on PM Modi ended up becoming a masterclass in how propaganda sometimes travels business class but returns economy with excess baggage.

And yes, ambassadors don’t just sit in embassies. Sometimes ordinary citizens, journalists, and professionals become representatives of their nation on global platforms. Gaurie did exactly that, with facts, confidence, and without needing a lecture from people who can’t even locate half of India on a map.

With regard to the misleading joint press conference addressed by Sanjay Singh and Manoj Jha at the Press Club of India, where three ex-servicemen and one deserter were given a platform, the facts, as placed on record by the @adgpi need to be reiterated.

The truth about these four individuals is as follows:

• Chandu Chavan: discharged from the Army on 25 July 2024 after accumulating five red ink entries for indiscipline.
• Harendra Yadav: dismissed from service on 27 January 2024 on grounds of indiscipline.
• Shankar Singh Gujjar: deserter from the Army since November 2024.
• P. Narender: dismissed from service due to indiscipline.

These individuals are now spreading falsehoods about service conditions, attempting to instigate divisions within the Armed Forces and manufacture an Officer-Men divide.

This entire exercise appears aimed at diverting attention from their own unsoldierly conduct and the multiple proceedings against them, while falsely portraying their dismissals, arising from desertion, intoxication, insubordination and related misconduct, as victimisation.

It is highly despicable that such responsible people of our country stoop down to levels that not only needs to be condemned but also nipped in the bud right away. Those who don't have any idea of how Armed Forces especially Army functions have no business to meddle in the affairs of the Armed Forces. They need to read the Army Act before taking any action.

A press conference video is being circulated across media and social media platforms with an attempt to malign the image of the #IndianArmy.

It is reiterated that the individuals seen in the video, namely Chandu Chavan, Harendra Yadav and P Narender, were dismissed from service on grounds of indiscipline and unsoldierly conduct. The fourth individual, Shankar Singh Gujjar, is a deserter and disciplinary proceedings are undergoing against him in both military and civil courts.

These individuals are deliberately spreading fake, malicious and misleading narratives on social media to divert attention from their own misconduct and dismissal from service. Citizens are advised not to fall prey to such propaganda and to remain vigilant against misinformation. (1/2)

They came back searching for his mobile and mentioned that two people were sitting in a Mercedes car and they were consuming alcohol. My husband and son tried to explain to them that this is a respectable society, and you are not supposed to do this. They started using abusive language and passing certain illicit comments, as I was also there. We called the PCR vehicle... The cop came, and he was about to take my statement. This individual, who was in the driving seat, made him speak on his mobile to someone. The cop came back, and he refused to write my statement... 7-8 goons came out from a cab, and started assaulting both my son and my husband. I went back to the cop who was sitting in the PCR van, requesting him for some assistance. But he refused... At around 10.45 PM, we went to the Vasant Vihar police station. There was a lady cop there who misbehaved with us, saying that we troubled them in the night... The PCR cop had reported to the police station the wrong vehicle number... We were not provided any medical assistance. Finally, we were able to give a written complaint to them at 2.13 AM..."
