This massacre is Khamenei desperate bid to cling to power. The world must act now. Non-intervention will unleash a human catastrophe worse than Syriaโs nightmare. For years Iranians have paid a heavy price under the evil regime. They need tangible support to prevail. @MarkJCarney
Khamenei & IRGC terrorists slaughtered tens of thousands of innocent Iranians in a brutal rampage on January 8-9. I know people firsthand who got shot. Internet is shutdown but few leaked videos show bodies pilled in morgue. Watch to grasp #IranMassacre:

This totalitarian theocracy has zero legitimacy among the vast majority of Iranians. Theyโve held the population hostage, used and wasted the countries resources to sow regional chaos and fuel global terrorism. No more!
This is horrific but true! The terrorist regime of Iran has once again committed crimes against humanity. Targeting its own population. This regime has to fall and these murderers brought to justice.

@Sanjeevirajmani Mainly a unique id for source string which is the used to fetch all sort of information like delivery date, last update, Translation method (human or machine), translation notes and context etc.
There are 16 invisible variation selectors which enables efficient encoding of any arbitrary data. We (ab)use them to encode metadata appended to all translated strings with no UI impact. A simple plugin then decodes these to surface very useful info to our localization QA.

I already knew about the "confusables", e.g.: e vs. ะต. Which look ~same but are different.
But you can also smuggle arbitrary byte streams in any character via "variation selectors". So this emoji: ๐๓ ง๓ ๓ ๓ ๓ ข๓ ๓ ๓ ๓ ๓ ๓ ๓ ๓ is 53 tokens. Yay

Read this quote which resonated strongly this morning:
We do not "come into" this world; we come out of it, as leaves from a tree. As the ocean waves, the universe peoples. Every individual is an expression of the whole realm of nature, a unique action of the total universe.
Finished Revelation Space just a hour before the loan was due. The pacing and character build up was a bit lacking. Some interesting ideas. I liked the different aliens depiction and plot twists. Not yet sure if I want to commit to the whole series though.

Reading memoryโs legion. It is a short story collection that is set in the Expanse universe. This reminded me how good the writing of that book series was. ๐๐ป
