You changed the world the day you placed your pen onto a piece of paper. You changed the lives of millions the day you introduced us to the world of Dragon Ball. You gave billions of kids an idol to look up to the day you introduced us to the one and only; Son Goku.

I owe you so much. WE owe you so much. You were a generational inspiration to thousands and thousands of others who would follow in your footsteps and gave us all their own stories to tell. Without you a medium I've loved since I was a little, little boy would absolutely never have grown as huge as it has. You...you were, you are, THE Legend...and now you're gone.

Looking at the sheer number of people grieving over Akira Toriyama's passing shows the impact he's had on this world.

And his creations will continue to impact future generations, even after all of us are long gone.
