What a week. Incredible conclusion to The Scottish Open. Amazing Wimbledon final, The Ashes resuming today and The Open at Hoylake starts tomorrow.
we got 3rd & 4th so made another profit last time.
Hoylake is on The Wirral, Merseyside. It’s a relatively flat links course with long fescue 3 or 4 yards off the fairway. The forecast is mixed with moderate winds at most. The greens are small but relatively flat when you find them.
US Open week is upon us. Seeing as we’re 2 from 2 this year, I’m having another go.
It’s at the very exclusive LA Country Club (North), recently restored by Gill Hanse.
It’s a ridiculously good track in Beverly Hills surrounded by some of the most expensive houses in the world.
We have no course form to go on but it’s clearly a course that tests every part of the game. As with most US Opens, we expect the boomers to hold sway.
So we’re going for those players bang in form who can give it waldy.
We managed a 1,2,3 last time the PGA was at Oak Hills so i thought i’d have a go this week:
Top players: Scheffler, Rahm, Koepka, DJ.
Outsiders: Day (28-1), Im (33-1), Hatton (50-1), Adam Scott (80-1), Varner (150-1)
if i only had 1 outsider to pick: Adam Scott…
