What are we to make the stern warning to President John Dramani Mahama by Nana Obiri Boahen, former Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic
(NPP)?

Speaking on Wontumi TV last Saturday, Obiri Boahen who is a practising lawyer claimed that some people are quietly plotting "evil" against the country and added that President Mahama must be "extra vigilant" especially in his dealings with members of the NPP.

He pointed to the February 24, 1966 coup which toppled the Nkrumah government under the direction of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) of the United States of America.

Obiri Boahen insists that although the achievements of the Nkrumah government were admirable, his opponents still managed to overthrow him.

The important question is what has Obiri Boahen seen or heard?

Those 50,000 students who didnt get placements found themselves in that situation because they failed. They probably got F9 in either Maths or English or both. Are we saying there should be no standards in our educational sustem? Ideally there should be a cut off.
