In Dhaka, the ruling authorities have effectively issued a decree against the leaders and activists of the #AwamiLeague. Even so, were they able to stop the tide of leaders, activists, and ordinary people in #Gulshan, #Dhaka?

Today, thousands of people from Dhaka North Metropolitan area joined the Joy Bangla procession, showing a red card to this oppression and misrule.

The younger generation of leaders has always been at the forefront of this struggle to restore #democracy.

If the vaccination programme that was in place under the Sheikh Hasina government had simply continued, more than a thousand children would not have died from measles.

These children died, and are continuing to die, because Yunus’s illegal government discontinued the programme. Yunus’s government committed this wrongdoing under the pretext of changing the vaccine procurement process. Even after repeated warnings and requests from UNICEF, the Yunus government went ahead and stopped the programme.

As a result, so many children have died. Yet, astonishingly, there is no accountability whatsoever.

Two years have passed since Abdullah Al Masud, a former Rajshahi University Chhatra League leader, was brutally beaten to death by a mob led by RUCSU GS and Islami Chatra Shibir leader Ammar. Yet no one has been arrested, and investigators have disclosed no meaningful progress.

The murder case has moved from Motihar Police to the Detective Branch and later to the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI). Despite repeated assurances that the investigation is ongoing, Masud’s family says investigators have barely maintained contact.
