We strongly support @womensaid 's call for government, community and society to stand against the racism, terrorism and Islamophobia that far-right groups have displayed this past weekend. No-one, including survivors of domestic abuse, should be further traumatised.

Domestic abuse is one of the key social problems for the new government to grapple with.

To address it, we need investment that matches the scale of the issue, and an approach that addresses the cause, as well as the consequences of abuse.
