The Steer Act puts points on your driving record when you are caught on speed camera driving more than 10 miles over the limit. Allen’s “big brother” legislation wouldn’t have made a difference one way or another in this situation.

Actions have consequences. Weakening laws, showing leniency towards violent criminals, & defunding the police inevitably lead to increased crime. Charles Allen’s disastrous policies, during his tenure as Chairman of the Judiciary and Public Safety Committee from 2017-2022, have brought us to this critical point. Our elected officials must be held accountable for their failures.

This past weekend alone, #DC saw multiple reported crimes, contributing to what is projected to be the 2nd most violent year in 26 years. We can’t continue to live like this. #EnoughIsEnough
