Love this. So many people think all kids will love and need a makerspace environment. Not true. All kids should have access but not required to participate.
This is the same line of thinking where schools add a makerspace but get rid of the library. Bad idea.
Before we moved on to other things I wanted to stop and document some of the literally 100s of coded #turtleart shapes we cut out in library makerspace last month. Grades 2-5, almost every child took home a document of their #computationalthinking . @TinkeringStudio
I may or may not have stopped on the side of the road to grab a rusted out solid metal shelving unit because I think I can clean it up, toss some paint on it, and use it to store student projects on our makerspace. #makerspace
