@shegone03 I read this tweet and couldn’t believe how dumb it was, then saw who posted it and don’t know whether to be shocked a pro baseball actually wrote this or not surprised at all…
I am very thankful for the time I’ve spent at Campbell the past two seasons. With that being said I am entering the transfer portal with 2 years of eligibility left.

@NCAABaseball worst umpired regional I’ve ever seen. Obstruction and malicious intent call, throwing coaches out for nothing, check swings, guys leaning over the plate, no control of intense situations. Umpires having way too big of a hand on teams seasons right now.
@BarryDurham@bigdonkey47 Always been a powerhouse behind the scenes. The area is LOADEDDDD with talent schools like UNC, NCST, Wake, Duke, etc skip right over when recruiting.
@NLBCoastal77 @artofhitting Have them go into their stride and then hit like this. Does 2 things at once: makes them maintain balance while isolating the upper body’s feel throughout the drill and takes the lower body out of their mind so they can focus on the drill at hand. Def do some with strides too!
@chuds33@DirtyTheOG@Coach___Wheels@shegone03 Yep. Life goal was to play in college. Committed to a school that I felt was something to be proud of. They cut their baseball program. Just after Committed to a smaller school, then tore my ACL 2 weeks later. During rehab that head coach left for a pro ball job. Cards get dealt!
@chuds33@DirtyTheOG@Coach___Wheels@shegone03 Some kids aren’t athletically gifted enough to learn the swing on their own. A helpful eye to guide them is great. But for athletic kids they need to learn to use that ability to create efficient moves. The technical aspect can hinder athleticism if introduced too soon.
@chuds33@DirtyTheOG@Coach___Wheels@shegone03 I agree. I think at age 14 that’s the absolute earliest there needs to be a swing coach involved.
Other sports are huge yes. Not just an athleticism advantage but looking back it’s one of my biggest regrets from just an experience standpoint.
@chuds33@DirtyTheOG@Coach___Wheels@shegone03 I agree. I think kids should stay away from swing coaches for as long as they possibly can. Learn how to athletically and efficiently swing the best you can on your own. Creates body awareness and athleticism that carry throughout careers.
