@airvistara @makemytrip Unfortunately, my mother fell seriously ill because of which I had to cancel the trip. The executives of @airvistara initially tried all kinds of tricks so that I forego the claim of a full refund on medical grounds, which is part of their stated policy.

Yesterday customer care people at @makemytrip kept my husband on hold for 10 minutes saying that they’re trying to resolve the issue, probably hoping that he’ll get frustrated and hang up, which is what eventually happened.

Firstly, they took forever to get convinced that my mother is seriously ill. Next hurdle was to convince them the lady in question was actually my mother. Thirdly, they didn’t understand why anyone would cancel their trips if someone in their family was not keeping well.

Both @airvistara and @makemytrip are passing the buck to each other saying that it’s the responsibility of the other to process the claim.

Finally, when we threatened them that we’ll put the chain of emails in social media did they approve the refund claim.
They sent an email to this effect on 8th Nov2023. However, it has now been more than two months but they haven’t actually refunded the money.
