BREAKING: Democratic star Congressman Jamie Raskin obliterates MAGA Representative Jim Jordan for refusing to obey a January 6th subpoena — and hypocritically holding a contempt hearing on Attorney General Merrick Garland.

Raskin is really not someone to mess with...

"It's rich beyond measure, like a billionaire rich, to be asked to hold the attorney general in contempt by people who themselves received subpoenas to testify before the January 6th Committee, who never rendered a single document nor a single minute of testimony to the January 6th Committee," said Raskin during a House floor debate on holding Garland in contempt.

Raskin also pointed out that the Republican claims about the "weaponization" of the Justice Department under President Biden have "melted away" now that his son Hunter has been convicted.

He accused Republicans of burying Trump's felony conviction "down the Orwellian memory hole to save someone's hurt feelings."

"So what's left to do now?" Raskin said. "Well, let's hold the Attorney General of the United States, Merrick Garland, in contempt, of course."

"This will be sure to placate an unrepentant and anonymous convicted felon from New York and distract everybody for a day or two," he went on, referring to Trump.

The sham contempt charge against Biden's attorney general stems from a demand by Republicans for an audio tape of Biden talking to Special Counsel Robert Hurt during an investigation into classified documents.

Garland has, rightfully, stated that he will not hand over the recording because the White House has exerted executive privilege over it. These hearing are a pathetic attempt by Republicans to punish him for doing his job.
