"The Mainland" is Home to people who are from there in a similar way Hawaii is home to us. So I say the continental U.S. and CONUS if the receiver knows the acronym or I define it. Say what we mean.

@ecotraveler @ijan808 Certainly, I would too. I don't understand this relaxing of an important protection for those most vulnerable to bad COVID outcomes.
I worked in a medical setting; workers wore masks and gloves often anyway. There are a lot more diseases circulating around a hospital than COVID.
