@wirmgurl As far as I remember, 15 and 21 months are quite different.
Also, I think it's important to give your body the right time to heal properly.
I would absolutely wait at least a year.
@Carlo96446381 No, almeno un uomo c'era di sicuro. Se hai visto il video, non puoi non aver sentito la voce.
La frase "I don't think you have, mate" l'ha chiaramente detta un uomo.
What is pissing the British off, is not only that our sons and daughters seem superfluous, disposable detritus to be taxed raped and murdered in lieu of votes, but that when it happens, and we're as furious as any other "community" would be, instead of being met with any unequivocal empathy, were told to shut the fk up or you'll go straight to jail.
@reallyoptimized@PadraigOraghail How can they be independent states if they are part of a federation? Also, they are not allowed to leave the federation.
@to_discussion@horsemankukka@mikesulsenti@IanCroasdale Probably it depends on the country. In Italy, I don't think you need to go 2 hours to get to a decent sized city from anywhere you can start your trip in.
In Finland maybe you do? Especially if you don't live in the south.
@to_discussion@horsemankukka@mikesulsenti@IanCroasdale ...need to get to the city.
Every kid here knows they need to get their licence as soon as they can, while admittedly in other places they can easily go without.
We drive 5+ hours to get to the Dolomites in the summer, but I can easily admit I would never drive 10+ hours...
@LadyDemosthenes I work one hour away (with public transportation) from my home too. That's the price for living in the countryside, and I think it's worth it.
Years ago I worked in Milan and travelled every day from Liguria. Maybe not so common, but the train was always full.
@LadyDemosthenes You have so much to see in your country, the same as us in our countries/continent.
I personally think there is nothing wrong with travelling somewhere close - I know I can, especially since I had my kids. The idea of an intercontinental flight with kids makes me sick.
@LadyDemosthenes ...we can thanks to cheap flights. Having family away is not something only Americans experience, the same as travelling back home whenever one can.
@to_discussion@horsemankukka@mikesulsenti@IanCroasdale It doesn't really mean anything in regard to an entire people though.
My MIL is like the Germans you got to know. The idea of having to go to another neighborhood every day seems too much to her.
My husband and I went to live in the countryside and need to drive 30/40 mins...
@Primal_Birth ...work if the lines get blurred. I am ok with explaining my kids my choices, but I am the parent and I make the calls. There is no question or doubt about it, ever.
This is probably more difficult than spanking, especially after working all day, but I think it's worth it.
@Primal_Birth While all your points are valid, and I agree we shouldn't focus on spanking, I think most poor behaviours are a result of subpar parenting.
I have no issue with the idea of a more respectful approach to raising kids that what was predominant in the past, but it can't...
