@RorySmith I don’t watch MotD to consume football as such - I watch it for the high-level analysis that I don’t necessarily understand or notice as a non football playing fan. If I just wanted highlights, I’d watch elsewhere. Same reason I listen to footballing podcasts - for the analysis.
@Dave9492@MsiDouglas I’m not disagreeing with you - just pointing out that Newcastle’s statement (and Mark’s following tweet that I was initially replying to) stated that he was never told he could be sold, and I don’t believe that’s the “broken promises” Isak is referring to.
@Dave9492@MsiDouglas Only after the Liverpool interest materialised? And once Paul Mitchell had left, who allegedly refused to honour Staveley’s offer. All this is hearsay, of course - but Isak’s statement never suggests he was told he could leave.
@Nusc2023 Absolutely!! And stop using Hey Jude - the only connection to the song is that “Geordies” is also two syllables. And using it when we’re playing Everton is embarrassing given that it was written by an Everton fan. Why are we singing their songs?!
@maxrushden@sidlowe@archiert1 Eintracht keep losing their biggest and best players (Marmoush and Ekitike of late), and always manage to replace them and find other hidden gems. What does the season hold for them and their new signings? From a Newcastle fan working in Frankfurt 😀
