@Viajerina Hey there, long time no see. Trying to get in touch and catch up, can you DM or email? :-)

[Brandon Haber @[email protected] @malderi]

Logging in one last time to say that I hope I'll see you on better places soon! Bye, all.

[Brandon Haber @[email protected] @malderi]

After about ten days on Mastodon... It's got less noise and more signal than Twitter, and makes me happy rather than angry. I'm definitely sticking over there and won't be checking in here any more. See y'all around the interwebs!

[Brandon Haber @[email protected] @malderi]

Twitter is not perfect, but on net it was a great place and improved my day and my life. To all whom I’ve followed or followed me, I appreciate you. To all who built this crazy place, I thank you.

See you over at @[email protected] and maybe others.

Why I left @twitter or rather why I did not sign up for “extremely hardcore” Twitter 2.0

@rocketrepreneur @BretDevereaux @planet4589 @PlanetDr @indyfromspace @corvidresearch @OptimoPrincipi @slatestarcodex @jeff_foust @elakdawalla @SciGuySpace I'm just a random dude that likes learning things. I've learned from you here and many others! If this place falls down, the last tweets of mine will be positive text and snarky gifs.

[Brandon Haber @[email protected] @malderi]

My favorite Twitterers have been, in no particular order, @rocketrepreneur @BretDevereaux @planet4589 @PlanetDr @indyfromspace @corvidresearch @OptimoPrincipi @slatestarcodex @jeff_foust @elakdawalla @SciGuySpace.

Thank you, and others, for adding to my day! #FavoriteFollows

@corvidresearch Thank you for brightening my feed.

@jack_dot_bin I hope they bring back Elvis!

[Brandon Haber @[email protected] @malderi]

Also, I hope the various space journalists that follow me will at least consider mirroring to Mastodon or some other network. I already see a minor mass of people moving over and the infosec industry is already there. Not going to be zero-friction, but will hopefully be worth it

[Brandon Haber @[email protected] @malderi]

@rocketrepreneur Still gonna read here, but there's a nonzero (but not high) chance of either major platform changes or just the site dying one day. Don't want to lose the network I've built up, so starting to move what I can.

[Brandon Haber @[email protected] @malderi]

Probably still going to check in here regularly to enjoy the schadenfreude, but very sad to see Twitter go and don’t think I’ll post much more for now. I hope something can replicate space twitter. Trying Mastodon and will be @[email protected] for now.

NCC-1701E still the best starship design.

[Brandon Haber @[email protected] @malderi]

@SciGuySpace Possibly EFT-1 in 2014. Otherwise I don’t know of any.

[Brandon Haber @[email protected] @malderi]

@AmaOyake Well, if you really want to ensure that happens...

2022 Flight Software Workshop recordings are up on YouTube! Here's our playlist from the virtual workshop earlier this year, with tons of great information on flight software engineering:
