Someone said women did not start decentering their husbands today. It started long before. That is why when women cry to their mothers that, “oh, my husband is maltreating me, my husband does not give me attention”, the mothers always tell them, “focus on your children”.

That's because their mothers have learned to decenter their husbands. They don't make their husbands center of their world. They focus on their children. Their husbands were just meant to give them children and then they find comfort in their women groups. Their husbands were never a part of that.

The difference is those women decentered their husbands under the patriarchy, while women of now are decentering their husbands under feminism.

At the end of the day, Women have always learned to survive disappointing husbands.
The women of the past were told, "Focus on your children." Today's women are told, "Decenter your husband."

The language changed, but perhaps the underlying problem didn't. women have repeatedly been taught how to build a fulfilling life around a marriage that isn't fulfilling them.

If a woman has to emotionally remove her husband from the center of her life just to survive being married to him, what exactly is the marriage providing that a partnership wouldn't?

This is why I keep saying I need to be somewhere safe. 💔

Look at the things people are saying about me. I don’t know these people. I have done nothing to them. I have never asked anyone to be trans or queer. Yet the hatred, the dehumanizing comments and even jokes about harm just keep coming.

And this is only one small example of what I mean when I say I’m not safe.

Honestly, Peter is partly to blame.

He spent four years convincing himself that staying away from MJ was the noble thing to do, when he could’ve simply approached her and given her the choice. Instead, he decided for both of them that their relationship was over.

Then Brand New Day proves how quickly that wall could’ve come down. It took less than three days around MJ and Ned for that old chemistry and connection to start resurfacing.

Peter didn’t lose MJ because they stopped caring about each other. He lost four years because he was too afraid to find out if they could start again.

You can’t just look at a Black woman found hanging from a tree and immediately say she took her own life. The tree was so high a ladder was needed to reach her, and she was found behind an empty house.

Saw that Okwuluora Kidney failure video in Enugu and I just thought;

1) Beans - Sniper or dangote cement.
2) Palm oil - Red dye + water.
3) Fried Plantain chips - Either transformer oil to save cost or vegetable oil + nylon to make it shiny and hard.
4) Fufu - Klin i.e detergent to ferment cassava in hours instead of days.
5) Kpomo - formalin to preserve it further.
6) Fresh fish - Industrial dye.
7) Unripe pineapple and banana - ripening in hours with chemicals.
8) Mango - ripening overnight by pouring inside smelly gutter waters.

These are but a few, meanwhile, Nigerian yam, beans are banned across parts of Europe for containing excess pesticides used by farmers without proper measurements.

We virtually consume these on daily basis, and result today is unprovoked kidney and liver damage.
