Speaking with Dr. Michael Lutz from @miumenshealth on their podcast was cathartic. We need to keep having these conversations.

Hey! @drthema (@APA) and I were hoping we could have a moment to chat. Pass this message along to someone you care about. Together, we can change the narrative surrounding #MentalHealth.
For men with MS, not seeking medical care due to perceived weakness may be among the negative effects of masculinity, a new study suggests. https://t.co/3JUsWhnaVQ
Addressing loneliness and social isolation can improve health outcomes for individuals and communities. It’s time to refocus on strengthening our connections with one another and rebuilding community.
The results are sound (as far as can be told through a cursory read of the data). However, the messaging needs to be worked on. Gender health is not a zero sum game. The way this story is written and marketed seems a bit antagonistic.

Did you know? The % of Florida teens who report feeling sad or hopeless almost daily for at least 2 weeks in the past year has↗️to 33% (2019), significantly higher than the % in 2009 (26%). Without the #YRBS we wouldn’t know that & be able to respond. #WhyYRBS#flapol
