Newsnight has just released shocking new unseen clips from Prince Andrew’s 2019 car-crash interview with Emily Maitlis and they make him look even worse!

Virginia Giuffre alleged the abuse started at Ghislaine Maxwell’s London house in 2001: sex on the bathroom floor, then the bedroom.

Maitlis: “She said she had sex with you on the bathroom floor in that house?”

Andrew: “I’ve never been into the bathroom, so I… don’t know.”

He doesn’t deny it. He dodges and quibbles like a cornered politician. Bizarre.

Then it gets worse.

Maitlis: “Did she mistake spending an evening with a senior member of the royal family?”

Andrew: “Quite possibly.”

Quite possibly? The man accused of sexually assaulting a teenager suggests she might have mixed him up with another royal. No firm denial. Just slippery deflection.

Maitlis presses: “Do you think she’s lying or confused?”

Andrew: “I’m afraid to say, I don’t know.”
No outrage.

No firm “She’s lying! I wasn’t even there!” Just more weak, hesitant waffle.

The entire interview was an absolute disaster. Every answer made him sound more guilty than the last. The arrogance to think this would clear his name, then reportedly believing it went well afterwards, says everything about the man.

In the end he settled the case and paid out millions. Most people believe he’s guilty and they’re not stupid. The royal family knows it too.
