Since when did integration in Kenya become about dating and marrying Somali women? What kind of obsession is this?
Somalis are indigenous to northeastern Kenya. We are Kenyans not visitors seeking anyone’s permission to belong. We have coexisted peacefully with other communities for generations.
And to those constantly demanding access to Somali women, if a woman doesn’t want you, she simply doesn’t want you. National integration is not a marriage proposal!
But here is what intrigues me: Why is it always “Let us marry your daughters” and never “Let your sons marry our daughters”? Why is the obsession always with Somali women?
Women are not national resources to be distributed in the name of integration. This entitlement is becoming frightening!

I posed a question to a structural engineer on whether Nairobi is sinking?
His answer was yes.
A 100 years from now, he said, the city as we know it might look very radically different.
The high rise apartment boom in Nairobi is not just stretching services beyond limit and disfiguring city aesthetics: it is also destabilising the structural foundations of the city, disrupting a delicate geological and subterranean balance.
In Eastleigh, for example, every high rise building now accompanied by a bore hole. Not only is this harmful practice depleting underground water but it is destabilising the structural foundations of the city.
Underground aquifers are not just sources of water, they also create "pore pressure" that help the stability of the ground above them.

-Now, you are questioning a friendly football match at Talanta Stadium?
At what point does political criticism become an obsession with everything associated with the Presidency?
