@Cloudflare @a_shimanski Similar experience. Moved 300+ GB to R2, did some transformations and a bunch of Workers, DO for different services. Nothing on billing usage.

Had to push all that data into Vectorize and do load testing to move the needle on billing usage.

I assure you nothing has changed. You may not have to manually type like before. You may even be moving faster than before. But the fundamental nature of the job of a SWE has not changed at all. If you think otherwise you probably misunderstood what the job was this entire time.

You'd need to give $250K for an idea for someone to commit long-term; there is no pipeline to follow up.

I think I want the @Cloudflare Durable Objects DevEx for Cardano L2s. The programming model feels very similar.

Addressable stateful objects with serialized updates: but the consensus, custody, and security guarantees to come from the L2 protocol 🫣
