Glad to host the FM of Finland @elinavaltonen at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem. This was the first visit of a Finnish FM in Israel since 2016.
In our meeting, we discussed strengthening bilateral relations and the situation in the Middle East.
I thanked the Minister for Finland's support for the EU decision to designate Iran’s Revolutionary Guards as a terror organization.
We'll continue working together to strengthen relations between our countries. 🇮🇱🇫🇮

Just spoke with Czech Deputy PM and FM @petr_macinka and congratulated him upon assuming office and on the establishment of the new government under PM @Andrejbabis.
I told him that we see the Czech Republic as one of our greatest friends in Europe and in the world, and as a natural partner. We appreciate the Czech Republic's close friendship and consistent support, especially throughout the war.
We agreed to work together to further strengthen our close relations and I thanked him for including the commitment to the special relations with Israel in the new government's guiding principles.
We also discussed the EU and the antisemitic terror attack in Sydney.
I invited him to soon visit Jerusalem.

Tonight we lit the first candle of Hanukkah in the center of Prague led by Rabbi Barash of Chabbad. It was very moving especially after today’s heinous terror attack against Jews in Sydney who celebrated Hanukkah. Here in Prague many people gathered to celebrate and show solidarity in the fight against antisemitism.
My sincere thanks to the dignitaries who took part in tonight’s event: Deputy Head of Parliament @PatrikNacher , MP and incoming Foreign Minister @petr_macinka , MP and future Minister of Sport @borisstastny , Vice Mayor of Prague @Hlavacek_P , Mayor of Prague 1 Mrs Terezie Radoměřskà and many others. There was a special atmosphere tonight that you can feel in the videos attached.

Nenašel bych lepší místo, než je Česká republika, k předání pověřovacích listin v tak významný den. České podpory v pro nás nejtěžší době si hluboce vážíme. Slyšet naši hymnu „Hatikva (naděje)“ znít na Pražském hradě v tento historický den pro mě znamenalo neskutečně mnoho.
