Deeply saddened by the passing of the legendary Vijaya Mehta. From founding ‘Rangayan’ to directing masterpieces like Wada Chirebandi, Barrister, Hamida Bai chi Kothi and Pestonjee, she redefined Indian storytelling. An irreplaceable loss to the world of arts. 🙏🎭 #VijayaMehta #MarathiTheatre
Vaibhav not playing again.
I think Gambhir and Iyer are not selecting the team based on merit.
Iyer is lemme-show-the-public-I-dont care-what-they think.
Gambhir is lets-put-the-young-boy-in-his place.
Absolute nonsense. Unfair on Vaibhav. Unfair on the fans in both India and Ireland.
Mumbai has so many things to see and do now. It is unbelievable. Even if you spend a month, you may not be able to cover all.
Can you believe it - now pistol shooting and rifle shooting (albeit at a steep price, understandably) is available in several prominent localities!
Here is a list:
- Malabar Hill Elevated Walkway (2025) – Mumbai’s first elevated forest trail with sea-viewing and glass-bottom decks.
- The Nest Urban Forest, Malabar Hill (2024)
– Restored green space with bird-watching zones and eco-sensitive pathways.
- NaMo Grand Central Park, Thane (2023) – 100-acre urban park with cycling tracks, amphitheatre, and botanical gardens.
- Gorai Mangrove Park (2022) – Conservation-focused park with boardwalks through mangrove ecosystems.
- Paradox Museum, Lower Parel (2023) – Interactive optical illusion and experiential museum.
- Sarmaya Museum (2021) – Private museum showcasing rare coins, tribal art, and photography archives.
- CSMVS “Networks of the Past” Gallery (2022) – New permanent gallery at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya highlighting ancient trade routes.
- Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum Revamp (2021–22) – Renovated exhibits and digital installations in Mumbai’s oldest museum.

Some time back, I came across an old social media post about a lane in Worli called Abhyas Galli.
The name intrigued me. So today, I decided to visit.
Hidden behind Poddar Hospital and shaded by old trees, the lane appears ordinary during the day. But its story is extraordinary.
For decades, students from the nearby BDD chawls gathered here every evening to study under streetlights. With entire families living in tiny rooms, this quiet stretch of road became their classroom, library and reading room.
So many students studied here over the years that the lane eventually came to be officially known as Abhyas Galli — literally, “Study Lane”.
While searching for its history, I found a few old photographs and scattered references online. Standing there today, it was easy to imagine generations of students sitting beneath these trees, preparing for exams and hoping for a better future.
Mumbai is full of famous landmarks. Abhyas Galli is different.
Its heritage is not in its buildings, but in the dreams that were studied into reality here.

Virat said "test" cricket should be restricted to traditional centres not limited overs cricket. In fact, ODIs and T20 cricket should be alloted to smaller centres , it will help spread of cricket culture.
Dharamshala is among the most iconic cricket venues in the world. India recently hosted an ODI match there, and the stadium has also been a regular IPL destination.
Yet some sections of Indian cricket fandom, particularly those obsessed with Virat Kohli, keep arguing that cricket should be restricted to a handful of traditional centres. Nothing could be further from reality.
In fact, even Pakistani Doraemon Furqan Bhatti recently expressed envy over Dharamshala's breathtaking stadium and urged the cash-strapped PCB to develop a venue that could match its grandeur.
While others admire what India has built, some at home seem determined to undermine it.
A 25-year-old housewife in Chennai earns ₹250/hour ($3) just by doing her normal housework.
She wears a phone on her head and records herself making coffee, cutting fruit, folding laundry.
These first-person videos get sent to AI companies training humanoid robots to handle real-world tasks. She shoots 90+ clips a day.
Her quote: "Who else will pay you ₹250/hour ($3) an hour just for doing housework?"
She's part of a growing gig economy in India where thousands are doing the same thing, filming everyday life to train the robots of tomorrow.
