Baby Liylah was born 16 weeks early, weighing less than a loaf of bread.

She had to spend months in the neonatal ward for specialist care. Her parents were not allowed to hold her during her first three weeks.

"21 days old, with three nurses there to safely transfer her for skin-to-skin contact, I was able to cuddle Liylah for the first time."

Liylah continued to progress in her growth and development. Her parents were able to bathe and bottle-feed her, and she started being able to breathe for herself. Five months after birth, she was able to go home.

Baby Liylah’s inspirational story is a testament to the improving outcomes for premature babies and a constant challenge to the current abortion time limit of 24 weeks in the UK.

I have quite an amazing feel-good story to share with you today.

In 2019 I created a daily celebrity and pop culture news show called “POPlitics” with @tpusa. I knew there was a large percentage of conservative women who loved pop culture, fashion, and beauty but who didn’t quite feel like they had a home amongst the conservative right.

I started a Facebook group called ‘Cuteservatives’ for these young women. I wanted them to make friends and gain encouragement to stand up for their beliefs in their own communities-and most importantly I wanted their activism to move beyond IG. 4 years later and people have met husbands, their future bridesmaids, and now, their children.

In August of 2022 a young woman posted that she was facing an unplanned pregnancy and needed prayer. Another member reached out to her for encouragement, and also told her that she and her husband were recently approved by an adoption agency and linked it.

This young woman kept thinking about the comment for a few weeks. She decided to contact the agency. The pregnant woman also had an unspoken desire stored in her heart for this baby-that the child would know Spanish because she and the father were of Spanish heritage. Low and behold, the woman looking for a baby was a high school Spanish teacher. God answered this Cuteservative’s prayer.

They all met for the first time in the hospital as she was giving birth and mutually agreed on an open adoption.
