Two things are true at once:
1.Khamenei was an oppressive dictator who subjugated the Iranian people (especially women).
2.The U.S. and Israel are not, and will never be, the liberators of any nation.
Iranian people deserve the autonomy to overthrow their own regime on their own terms.
Now their future will be shaped by the same global empire responsible for the massacre of millions of civilians in the region over the past couple of decades.
It feels so surreal that the entire world is going up in flames, dozens being killed and several countries mobilising their forces. But I’m just supposed to prepare for Monday and act like all of this exists only on the internet?
how lucky we are to sit in the comfort of our own homes, able to freely live our lives, eat proper meals, pursue our hobbies while across the world, on the same planet we share, innocent people, families and children just like ours are forced to live in constant fear of death…
It doesn’t matter whether Khamenei is dead or not. What matters is how insane it is to live in an era where one country can assassinate the heads of other states with total international impunity. The fact that this precedent is now fully normalized is fucking nuts.
Imagine if Iran bombed Washington and killed students in schools, what would you call it? Terrorists
The U.S. and Israel bombed Tehran and killed students in schools. Why do you call it a "pre-emptive strike"?
Bombing a school is a war crime under international humanitarian law
