it's actually incredible how much kids just accept arbitrary rules. like our kid gets 5 candies on movie night because he's 5 years old and he's just like "i wish i could have more" and ur like "yeah :/" and then he just moves on? incredible
it’s crazy how when you’re a kid dissociating just *works*. You can get beaten by your parents and just forget about it. But when you’re an adult and something bad happens to you your brain tries to dissociate it away and ends up breaking the quarantine. Now everything’s fucked.
