This is what anticipation looks like on the field. It’s being ready to make the play, before the play happens. It’s having eyes in the back of your head. It’s knowing the next move before this move is made.
Anticipation is one of the game’s biggest separators. Anticipation wins.
@citylifematt @JWonCATCHING Two strike batting practice. Helps work on adjusting your approach with 2 strikes. Expand zone, get closer to plate, choke up. Helps hitters get comfortable making adjustment with 2k

INTRASQUAD THOUGHTS
No base coaches
Between INN C throws vs. a live R(1st & 3rd D?)
Start INN w/bunt D
Screen/stander behind C timing P's
Vary H's counts
Vary R's on base 2 start INN
Reward H's w/bonus AB's 4 + execution
Make players call balls & K's(Especially the complainers)
This is what anticipation looks like on the field. The best in our game tell themselves before a play, “if this happens, then I’ll do that. If that happens, then I’ll do this.”
When this/that thing happens, they are well-prepared to make plays like ⬇️:
Catchers who have good relationships with umpires, for whatever reason, get more strikes called…
Catchers who are low & quiet get more strikes.
Catchers who catch the ball up to the plate get more strikes.

AVERAGE vs ELITE:
Avg says “I’m good”
Elite says “Good isn’t good enough”
Avg turns 2-2 into 2-5
Elite turns 0-3 into 2-5
Avg shows up on time
Elite shows up early
Avg makes excuses
Elite takes blame
Avg mindset brings elite talent down. Elite attitude brings avg ability up.
So why AREN’T you elite?
It’s because you choose Fortnite over sweat.
It’s because you need a coach to tell you exactly what to do and when to do it, instead of taking the initiative yourself.
HOW to be elite isn’t a secret. It just ain’t easy. #BeObsessed
PLAYING CATCH is the most important fundamental skill of the game. The teams that play catch the best are generally the one's who win the most because they simply take care of the baseball. #STdrills https://t.co/dh41FEg9gA
Hitters every ptch is a strike. Stop on balls, don't start on strikes. It's "hit, hit, hit no" as opposed to is it a strike. The ball is by you by the time you start to swing the bat when you go up to the plate trying to ID strikes. ID balls & stop your swing.
FOUR CORNERS is the mother of all infield drills. Just about every single throw an infielder will ever have to make can be isolated, like the @Phillies focus on the underhand feed here. Different size boxes help set up different types of throws. #STdrills
