#WATCH | Nagpur | RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat says, "Recently, a decision was taken regarding dogs, which caused a major uproar in Delhi. Two extreme viewpoints were being discussed, one saying that all dogs should be killed, and the other saying that dogs should not be touched at all...When I was asked about this, I said that there can be a middle path as well. Measures such as sterilisation can be used to control the dog population, and several steps can be taken to reduce risks and ensure safety. I expressed this view because I am a veterinarian...Earlier, we believed that veterinarians had a very limited scope. That is not true. We should think on a much broader level...There should be a separate veterinary council, something I strongly believe is necessary. If decisions are to be made about animals, they should be made by veterinarians or animal science experts who have the required knowledge. The responsibility should be in the hands of those who understand the subject. Just as in sports, decisions should be taken by people from the sports field itself; similarly, it is not merely because I am a veterinarian, but because when people from a particular field lead that field, only then does it truly progress..." Malignant narcissists/human predators brazenly push through when they are exposed. Most of us would be too embarrassed or ashamed to show our faces let alone maintain a platform! Not the predators! Lack of fear, empathy and shame as well as a sense of superiority which is next level means predators behave very differently to others in the face of adversity.

If you know administrative heads at schools or colleges, public or private—where community dogs live, please reach out today and urge them to encourage coexistence and adopt an ABC-compliant plan. Removing healthy, vaccinated, sterilised dogs is not an option; it creates a vacuum that invites unvaccinated, unsterilised dogs and increases conflict. With respect, today’s directions are unconstitutional, inhumane, and contrary to India’s spirit of coexistence. Act now—call, write, meet, and stand up for the dogs who cannot speak.

Central Government comes out in support of their ABC Rules and has reiterated their commitment to scientific and humane solutions !!

Street dog management lies with States & ULBs under ABC Rules, 2023. Focus is on humane sterilisation & vaccination, not pounds or relocation

Funds, infra support & anti-rabies vaccines will be provided through central government schemes, to local authorities and AHD hospitals.

This boost from the Central Government will help scale up the ABC program pan India !!
