We spent weeks combing through declassified government documents to piece together the true story of our relationship with Iran. It begins with a CIA coup. Watch ‘Operation Ajax,’ a TCN Original Documentary.
🚨🇮🇷 Iran hit Gulf oil, gas, nuclear and water sites 135 times with pinpoint precision... and Gulf governments covered it up as “falling debris”
The investigation went site by site with satellite imagery, 36 insiders and 14 outside experts, and the pattern is unmistakable.
Iran didn't spray missiles at the Gulf.
It hit the one manifold that routes oil through Fujairah, twice.
It hit the two "cold boxes" at Ras Laffan that take three to five years to replace.
It hit the electrical substation at the Barakah nuclear plant 130 meters from a reactor, and the IAEA chief said whoever did it "knew exactly what they were doing."
It hit the pumping station that feeds the Saudi East-West pipeline, Kuwait's desalination plants, Amazon's data centers, and the power plant for Abu Dhabi's aluminum smelter, which won't fully restart until 2027.
Gulf governments blamed debris in at least 34 statements and made it illegal to photograph the damage. All 14 experts said debris could not have done this.
Here's what it adds up to. Saudi output fell from 10 million barrels a day to under 7 million for six months, a $50 billion hole. Kuwait exported zero crude in April, a first since 1991.
The UAE's attacks stopped in May, right after $3 billion in frozen Iranian funds were released, which Abu Dhabi denies and a senior Iranian official confirmed.
This is how a country with no navy and no air force held off the Pentagon for seven months: it skipped the bases and went for the valves, and every bypass route around Hormuz got closed one small target at a time.
Tehran's parliament speaker said it in September, the Gulf's oil chain is "sprawling, accessible, and exposed."
Reuters just proved him right.

@policytensor Logic?? Was there logic in this conflict so far?
I know what isreal wants: have the US attack Iran's infestructure so that iran attacks the gulf states so that the middle east destroys itself leaving isreal to grow without opposition.
@justinbaragona So in short, she’s not an attorney!
Why claim she’s a lawyer every show sale goes on? Why the lying?
Figures. Just like Trump. Lying all the time
What Iran has done is just like Iron Man 2.
To make people stop believing in America's ability to project power, they just had to make the USA bleed.
Nations are doubting that America can protect them, and Russia is less threatened.
🇺🇸🇮🇷 The Pentagon may BE HOLDING BACK A REPORT on the KILLING OF 123 IRANIAN CHILDREN until after the MIDTERMS
This is an enormous story.
Advisers to Pete Hegseth are reportedly planning to delay the release of an investigation into the U.S. strike on an elementary school in Minab, Iran.
More than 150 people were killed, including at least 123 children.
Investigators reportedly found that outdated intelligence, flawed imagery and excessive reliance on AI contributed to the disaster.
And the report has apparently been almost finished for months.
Now we're hearing that senior Pentagon officials want to keep it from the public until Americans have voted...
If the findings are ready, what possible justification is there for making the families wait until after an election?!

@bennyjohnson He’s working to keep his power and you can’t see that. If Dems get in, he loses his power. But. He should have thought about that before he followed Netanyahu down this path of war. He cares more about him than he does the American people. He’s not working for America
@ImBreckWorsham I think they allowed him to win again. He’s being controlled this time for sure. The ones that are still maga are Fox News watchers. They still trust Trump 100%. The could care less WHY Trump started this war
Dear Secretary Bessent @SecScottBessent,
My name is Everett Stern. In 2010 I was a compliance officer at @HSBC. From a back office in New Castle, Delaware, I watched billions of dollars move to drug cartels, sanctioned regimes, and terrorist organizations. The enemies of the United States. I documented it, I escalated it, and when the bank would not act, I took it to the @FBI, the @CIA, and eventually the @SECGov.
The result was a $1.92 billion settlement. At the time, it was one of the largest in American history. It was also about five weeks of the bank’s profit. Not one banker was charged. Not one went to prison.
I paid a different price. I lost my career, my savings, and my place in the industry I had trained for. I was blacklisted. Every door in American finance closed at once. I slept on a camping cot in a 300 square foot apartment because I could not afford a bed, and I waited tables at @PFChangs to eat. I tell you this not for sympathy, but so you understand that I know exactly what it costs to do the right thing in American finance, and exactly how little the system does in return.
I made that sacrifice because I believed it would change something.
Yesterday, your department fined @BankofAmerica $1.2 billion for failing to report more than $5 billion in suspicious transactions, some of it tied by your own findings to Chinese laundering networks, narcotics, and the southwest border, alongside 475 apparent sanctions violations touching Russia, Iran, and global terrorism. The bank admitted it willfully violated the Bank Secrecy Act.
Fourteen years after HSBC. A bank with “America” in its name. And once again, not one individual charged.
Secretary Bessent, I want to say plainly what I believe you already know. The fines are not working.
A fine is paid by shareholders, absorbed by the balance sheet, and forgotten by the next earnings call. Bank of America reported earnings this morning. Nobody who set the alert thresholds, nobody who decided the 2024 cease and desist could wait, nobody who chose the backlog over the law will lose a single thing they value. Their lives are untouched. That is the entire reason the behavior repeats.
This is money laundering. This is blood money. Money that reaches a cartel buys fentanyl that kills Americans. Money that reaches a terrorist organization buys the next attack. This country has fought a war on drugs and a war on terror for decades, at enormous cost in lives and treasure, and all the while we have allowed the financing to flow through institutions we charter and regulate. Cut off the money and we win. We have never seriously tried.
There is also a question of equal justice that I cannot let go.
Before I walked into the FBI building to report HSBC, I stopped in front of the Great Seal on the wall and read the words engraved beneath it: “Justice is the defense of our liberty.” I believed that. I still want to. But every day in this country, people go to prison for crimes that are nothing next to moving money for the people who want Americans dead. A suit, a title, and a corporate badge should not be a shield from the consequences that apply to everyone else. If a street dealer goes to prison for what he sells, the banker who moved the cartel’s money should be standing next to him.
I also want to raise something that is rarely said in these conversations. Why has no one inside Bank of America come forward the way I did? The answer is that everyone in American banking knows what happened to me, and to the whistleblowers who came after. The last person who spoke up is the only policy anyone believes. That is a culture problem, and it starts with leadership, in the banks and in the agencies that regulate them.
This is not a political issue. It has spanned administrations of both parties. It is a national security issue, and I am asking you to treat it as one.
Three things would change the math overnight.
Refer individuals for criminal prosecution. Not the analyst in the queue. The executives who set the thresholds and chose the risk. One banker in handcuffs would do more than every fine in Treasury’s history combined.
End “too big to jail.” An institution cannot be too big to fail and too big to jail at the same time. If it is the first, it must be held to a higher standard, not a lower one.
And if Bank of America will not act as America’s bank, review its charter. A national charter is a privilege granted on behalf of the American people. It should be conditioned on not moving money for the people trying to kill them.
Secretary Bessent, you said yesterday that these actions send a clear message that even the biggest institutions are not above the law. With respect, the institution was never the problem. The people inside it are above the law, and they know it. Until that changes, I will keep writing letters like this one, and the next bank will keep paying the next fine.
I gave up everything I had to stop this. I am asking you to use the power you have to finish it.
Respectfully,
Everett A. Stern
HSBC Whistleblower

.@KatieZacharia is not a lawyer and has never been licensed to practice law. The @WSJ reports this evening that she took the California Bar Exam but failed.
Nevertheless, Zacharia appeared on media programs for YEARS and repeatedly called herself a lawyer.
Here's a super cut:
Thirty-five years ago, Russia unilaterally surrendered its entire empire of twenty captive nations--the first to do so voluntarily in world history in an attempt to become part of the economic and security architecture of the West. I was absolutely thrilled to witness the demise of the Evil Soviet Empire and the liberation of its captive nations, especially Ukraine, from Communist tyranny in accordance with my proposal for the surrender of the Soviet Union which I wrote back in 1986.
But contrary to the false propaganda narrative we keep hearing in the West, it's important to note that Post-Soviet Russia does not have an empire today. Only the United States does. There is no greater symbol of America's liberal empire than the NATO alliance. The only reason Russia gave up its empire is because it received solemn assurances from US and German leaders in particular that NATO would not move on inch eastward.
Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Donald Trump betrayed that pledge by expanding NATO's European territory by 83 percent all along Russia's western borders while Joe Biden signed strategic partnership agreements with Ukraine in August and November 2021 that transformed Ukraine into a de- facto NATO member state.
Russia's invasion of Ukraine, which I opposed, was begun in defense against US/NATO imperialist expansion all along Russia's western frontier inside its strategic security perimeter, not in furtherance of Russian imperial expansion as Western neo-imperialists would have us believe.
If anyone thinks that the US would sit idly by if Russia were to ally with Canada and Mexico and arm it to the teeth with missiles with which to strike the US, they are very much mistaken. Russia behaved in much the same way as the US would have in similar circumstances. I'm not saying I agree with Russia's decision to invade Ukraine by any means only that it had a justifiable pretense from a Russian perspective.
When Russian President Vladimir Putin had Kyiv partially surrounded from three directions and was on the verge of forcing Ukraine to surrender to Russia's peace terms, he ordered the withdrawal of all Russian military forces from Ukraine's three northern oblasts comprising one-third of Russian-occupied territory at the time.
His decision to do so showed his commitment to peace proving conclusively that he did want to conquer Ukraine. It was that action taken from March 26th-April 4th, 2022, that forced me to re-evaluate my mistaken belief that Putin was an imperialist who wanted to transform Ukraine into a Russian vassal state.
In response, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky pulled out of the Istanbul Agreement which would have mandated the withdrawal of all Russian troops from Ukraine's prewar controlled territory. In so doing, he ensured the deaths of over a million brave Ukrainian troops in an unwinnable war against Russia along with the reduction of Ukraine's population by up to 42 percent to date.
Now, President Trump is courageously threatening to cut off all US security assistance to Ukraine unless its brutal dictator agrees to stop its attacks on Russian oil refineries and agree to peace with Russia in order to save half of Ukraine from being overrun from Russian military forces. I strongly commend the president for his commitment to save Ukraine from Zelensky's further attempts to commit national suicide for his once great nation and stop the continued mass slaughter of its brave soldiers.
