Osogbo - The City on Wheels
On Sunday, I set out with my camera, just hoping to document a bit of street life in Osogbo @InsideOsogbo . I didn’t know I was about to witness something far more profound the fierce rhythm of youth, rolling on four small wheels.

It is unfortunate that APC members in Osun have chosen to politicize a disaster instead of standing with affected business owners.
The attempt to mislead the public about the response to the Iyanu Plastic fire is disappointing. Firefighters from the Osun State Fire Service, the Federal Fire Service and emergency teams from Osogbo, Ede, and neighbouring stations were mobilized immediately to combat the inferno. Personnel worked tirelessly under difficult conditions to prevent the fire from spreading further.
Rather than appreciating the bravery of emergency responders who put their lives on the line, some individuals like this have decided to use people’s losses and properties as political tools. That is both insensitive and irresponsible. They shouldn’t not exploit tragedy for political mileage. This is crossing the line
Our thoughts remain with those affected by the fire and we salute all firefighters and emergency personnel who responded swiftly and professionally to contain the situation

Fire outbreaks are among those unfortunate disasters that every community must pray against. But beyond prayers, every responsible government must be adequately prepared to respond swiftly whenever they occur.
It is heartbreaking that nearly three hours after fire engulfed Iyanu Plastic in Osogbo, only one fire service truck showed up. It is more disturbing that SACHET WATER were being used at some point in an attempt to contain the inferno.
This is a sad reflection of the state of emergency response in Osun. A government that proudly announced the procurement of 7 fire trucks should not leave residents battling a major fire with what appears to be inadequate support.
My prayers are with everyone who lost properties and investments in this unfortunate incident. May God grant them the strength and resources to recover from their losses. Citizens deserve better emergency preparedness than this.
Shame on you @AAdeleke_01
August 15 is near. As a proud son, I’ve watched my dad work tirelessly for the people of Osun State, and the results speak for themselves. I humbly ask the good people of Osun to support his re-election so we can keep the progress going. God bless Osun State.

WE SHALL WIN AUGUST 15 POLLS, IGNORE SCAREMONGERING - GOVERNOR ADELEKE
● SAYS ACCORD IS OPEN TO NEW MEMBERS
OSOGBO - 07/06/2026 - https://t.co/GiyDcwn2bn
Governor Ademola Adeleke has tasked Osun residents and indigenes to ignore rumours and scaremongering about the forthcoming gubernatorial elections, declaring “we shall win convincingly and we shall be declared winner with wide margins”
Responding to concerns in some quarters about election rigging and political violence, the governor said all hands are on deck to ensure that “our people exercise their voting rights without any hindrance”, vowing that “our votes will count and we shall emerge victorious”
Governor Adeleke called on Osun people to ignore the scaremongering, the rigging rumours and the threats, stressing that those peddling fear mongering have only strengthened the determination of the people to sustain and retain good governance.
“According to the Governor, residents and voters are resolved to enforce free and fair elections within the ambit of the law, as well as through formal and informal structures, declaring that “No one, I repeat, no one can deny Osun people their legitimate rights to choose their leaders.
“We are the cradle of Yoruba nation. We are the ancestral state of Mr President. No security or electoral official will dare attempt to set Osun state on fire. No federal official will contemplate rigging the forthcoming elections in Osun state.
“We will resist any move or ploy to tamper with the electoral process. We are closely monitoring all pre-election activities while watching machinery has been set for both election and post- election period. We are not taking anything to chance.”, the governor assures the public.
On the political rupture within the Osun main opposition party, Governor Adeleke called on all politicians of goodwill to join hands with him to sustain current statewide delivery of good governance.
“Our candidature is beyond party lines. Ours is a pan-Osun movement, a rainbow coalition, to ensure the final exit of the state from under-development. So our doors are open for new members to join our party.
“I call on politicians and non-political stakeholders to join me in Accord ahead of August 15. It is better to abandon a sinking ship and join the light which my candidature represents”, Governor Adeleke stated.

Mallam Olawale Rasheed,
Spokesperson to the State Governor.
Yesterday, I, alongside the Coordinator of Unofficial Aides, Hon. Labason @LABANSON9 , visited the Osun State Library @osunstatelb , where we met with the State Librarian and Executive Secretary, Mrs. Modupeola.
During our visit, we engaged in discussions on the Free Internet Access initiative available every Saturday at the library. This is a commendable and forward-thinking initiative aimed at supporting education, research and the development of digital skills across the state. Courtesy of Governor Ademola Adeleke @AAdeleke_01
We also had the opportunity to use the internet service ourselves and can confidently confirm that it is fully functional, reliable and impressively fast for the benefit of the good people of Osun State.

Here is a video of Oluremi Omowaiye, recorded six years ago, in which he admitted that the administration of former Governor Gboyega Oyetola procured security drones for Osun State. Today, Osun people are asking a simple question: where are those drones? If the drones were fully paid for with taxpayers' money, the public deserves clear answers regarding their whereabouts and operational status. Osun residents are also demanding that Oluremi Omowaiye explain his role, if any, in the procurement and management of the security drones. Questions continue to be raised about whether due process was followed, why the procurement process was allegedly circumvented, and what became of the drones after payment was completed. Transparency and accountability are necessary to clear the air on this matter.
Good morning, everyone, especially members of the Osun APC.
It has come to our attention that one of your supporters, @doyinsolap0, has allegedly been issuing threats against a young lady for exercising her constitutional right to freedom of expression.
Over the past few weeks, there have also been reports and allegations involving the destruction of billboards, the shooting of the Osogbo Accord Party Chairman, the death of the son of the Irewole Local Government Accord Party Women Leader and other disturbing incidents.
We strongly urge the leadership of your party to call its members and supporters to order and ensure that all forms of intimidation, harassment and threats cease immediately. Threatening individuals for expressing their views is unacceptable and contrary to the principles of democracy and the rule of law.
Should these actions continue, all lawful and appropriate legal options may be explored.
