He, him. A transplanted Canadian, Bruce cohosts Temple of the False Pod. He looks forward to hosting Magic & TOing prereleases for the local young'uns again.
@JoeyPascoMTG@maro254 I’m a casual player. I can ignore UB sets and glory in the extra Magic IP.
Although the imagery of turd on pizza should be used whenever possible!
Pulled Persistent Petitioner and replaced it with Benthic Anomaly in my Brudiclad deck.
I was never able to get the win with Petitioner and I hope the Anomaly will give me more varied options for my tokens.
@KyleCCarson My last Brudiclad game involved 3copies of Sword of Hearth and Home from a player who only had green and white. It was a wild game and I’m hoping for more of that from the Anomaly!
@HobbesQ I did an entire article, comic book-style, of my origin story that was lost in one of Wizards' purges of past articles.
A 6-player, multiplayer game was my first introduction to Magic. My Rabid Wombat became very big as my friends were bribing me not to attack them with it!
Someone just automatically gave me a senior discount today. Nothing like a random 20-something year-old making me realize I am far more vain than I realized!
@ghirapurigears At least 40% of Cmdr players can’t be trusted with the brokenness of Un cards. With 4 players in a typical game, the likelihood of a player abusing this power is pretty high.
My friends include those cards and it works because we all know the agreed power level in our games.
@KyleCCarson We’ll see. The Magic Club died during Covid. I’ll talk to him and the library and see if we can bring it back. We need a core group that can be there every week and a way to let elementary school children know about it.
I just drew 64 cards with Momentus Fall. I took control of Ms Bumbleflower and drew 2 cards. Then I swung and did 18 damage with Ms Bumbleflower. I didn’t expect they would take the damage, so I ended up with a Covetous Jewel and drew out my library.
I love this game!
@HobbesQ The area is great. Plenty of natural parks, walkways, bike paths and quiet, or you can get restaurants, bars, and markets nearby too. There is a reason the housing market is growing and the apartment costs are skyrocketing around here.
@HobbesQ There are some commercial properties in some parts of the building, and a restaurant on the end, but most are (overpriced) apartments. I believe 800sq. Ft. places are $3000 per month now.
