POSTDOC IN COEXISTENCE THEORY FOR CORAL REEFS available in my research group here at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in Panama, as part of a three-year Smithsonian-funded project on biodiversity maintenance in reef coral assemblages (1/2) (Please retweet!)
How does #climate affect the life of #fish in different global regions? This #PLOSBiology modelling study predicts how #GlobalWarming will change the size and reproductive rates of marine fish @djm_MEEG @GeometricBiol @Craig_R_White @manalv

Our new paper looking at the relationship between #biodiversity and #productivity, in the form of both energy and biomass, during phytoplankton succession. We find that diversity affects #energy and #biomass differently over time! https://t.co/X2HARluiGh
Hi, usually I tweet about #reefs and #fish and #science,
today it's a personal one.
My family needs help. Dad had a serious stroke this past Saturday and all costs will be out of pocket.

New pub @PNASNews!
Global coral reef food webs have remarkably similar trophic pathways. Most fishes have specialized dietary preferences & food webs are vulnerable to local extinctions of predators.

Excited for our new paper - we tested 6 methods to predict community energy flux and found some cool things along the way. It turns out that energy use per unit mass is enough to predict total rates, without any information about size. @RSocPublishing @MartinoMalerba @djm_MEEG
