Me: N, I love you. You are my sweetie pie.
N (laughing): what!? I am not a pie. You can't eat me!!

One of my EMs recently asked me how I approached candidate sell calls and I realized that I have done enough of these to actually have a playbook. Here is what it looks like -
I was telling my 5 yr old that we should leave some πͺ and π₯ for π because he'll be so tired giving π. At which point she says to me: "How about we leave Dal(lentil) rice and Dahi (yogurt) rice so he'll get even more energy". Clearly I am raising her right! π #SouthIndian
@joulee An ex-mgr said "Fake it till you make it". It was a game changer. It's not that I started faking it, but it was that someone believed in me enough to offer that kind of advice. It made me start believing in me. It's been an upward learning curve since then, upward being key
4 yr old leans over my laptop as I am browsing a site to get some dresses for her:
Her: Are those for me?
Me: uh huh
Her: Thank you!
And after a moment's pause
Her: Sorry, I don't have a laptop so I can't get you any dresses!
