@ThemeParkScout@disneyglimpses Everything is dynamic. Different world now with “influencers”, expanded resorts etc. There will be a point where the resorts just can’t cope with the increased footfall.
@ThemeParkScout@disneyglimpses I’m someone that stays onsite at Disney resorts who welcomes the push to make them more of an exclusive space for paying resort guests.
@ThemeParkScout@disneyglimpses You’re asking for reasoning. I’m giving it. Buses are for the use of paying hotel guests. Managing resort capacity is more of an issue as resorts expand. Resort guests now pay a lot and will be more demanding of exclusivity.
@theveindoc@DrRichardMoore@MiloKostusiak Why have entry criteria for any profession? Just teach anyone to do anything.
Or regulate, maintain professional standards and adhere to training pathways with strict competency based assessment.
I’ll stick with the latter please.
@theveindoc@DrRichardMoore@MiloKostusiak That’s a totally disingenuous argument. Cross-specialty management of specific scenarios is completely different to allowing practitioners to operate without the standard skills, experience and clinical judgement within their own field.
@theveindoc@DrRichardMoore@MiloKostusiak Except you’ve already admitted you cant. You’ve acknowledged the individuals you propose to do surgery can’t actually manage complications. Doesn’t sound like a high quality to me.
@theveindoc@DrRichardMoore@MiloKostusiak I’ll take quality, safety and standards please.
You can make anything cheaper if you lower the quality. It’s not always appropriate though is it.
“Our Consultants are not only leaders in patient care, but also at the forefront of vascular surgery, research, and innovation, writing best-selling medical textbooks, collaborating with Imperial College London, and working closely with the UK Government to raise awareness of national vein health” (but they won’t actually be doing your procedure)
