IM SEEING A LOT OF PEOPLE SAY THEY WANNA LIVE IN MIKE TOMLIN'S MINECRAFT CITY. WHAT IM NOT SEEING IS ANYONE ASKING WHAT HAPPENED TO THE VILLAGERS THAT *USED* TO LIVE THERE.
i love seeing people live tweet their reactions to neon genesis evangelion i get to vicariously experience the thrill of watching it for the first time all over again
I'm from Philadelphia, sometimes people ask me what the best spot is to get a cheesesteak. That wasn't really what I was up to there tho. Ask me about the best spots by the rivers to go through a break up
Margot didn't feel like the right casting for this character, though. Also I hated everything about the cheater's arc, and Heathcliff return, and being reduced to revenging Cathy only (wrong wrong wrong).
If you just watch the film as a story about Cathy, IMO it works well until HC returns. The childhood scenes were well done. I actually thought the Earnshaw/Hindley mash-up worked well to consolidate the timeline & show how Cathy's been neglected & build her allegiance w HC
Their sexual tension is very incestuous and uncomfortable esp in the beginning. Cathy being conflicted about her feelings for HC, and choice to marry Edgar make so much sense!
I saw WH- Kinda funny after all the arguments in favor of Elordi's casting re: race were irrelevant bc film-Heathcliff is literally just some orphaned white boy
there's a structural problem that's difficult to solve. you lose your female lead less than halfway through the story, and then introduce an entirely new generation of characters with confusingly similar names
If we want to have a good (read: faithful) Wuthering Heights adaptation, it needs to be picked up by a horror movie director but it also needs to be a mini series
