@ahhcherontia Oh the location decisions 100% has something to do with college campuses. That's the only way I could see Durham making more sense than Charlotte or Knoxville making more sense than Nashville. Or MACON making more sense than literally anywhere else in that godforsaken state

@ahhcherontia Definitely not an ideal situation. But we've separated them for now, Hoid is having a fit about it but she's got litter, food, and water in our bedroom where we can keep an eye on her and she's curled up in an empty box at the moment

Hey, good news, we are home! And exhausted, we've been awake for 23 hours 😅

#petillness we're gonna call the vet in the morning and get her checked out because she has health stuff but honestly I'm a little concerned that her brother has been getting more territorial and maybe was guarding food so she wasn't eating enough while we were gone 😟

#petillness But, uh, she's definitely lost weight since we've been gone and she's unsteady on her feet and just not acting like herself. It took treats and about 15-20 minutes of coaxing to get her out of her cat tree when we got home.

And Hubs had to get kind of forceful with him and get between us to get him to back off and then he started cursing at hubs in Italian. So that was super fun 🫠

In general have been annoyed but not overly bothered by the street vendors desperately trying to scam tourists into buying roses or bracelets or whatever. It's scummy, but they gotta make a living I guess and mostly they just ask maybe twice and then move on

And he fucking *ran* up to me which obviously set me on edge so I backed up bc I'm anxious and easily startled and he was desperately trying to shove a rose into my hand (which I had gelato so my free hand was on the opposite side from where he was so he was very in my face)
